As the title describes, list here what you're most looking forward to in the coming F1 season. This could simply be a fact, like a favourite driver finally on the grid, or a possibility of what could happen.

Me personally:

Just F1 being back! <3
Vettel catching Fangio
Hamilton vs. Button, no holds barred.
Possible resurgence of Felipe Massa
A new champion
Hamilton vs. a new teammate
Webber being strong in the second half of the season
Grosjean making it to the end of a race (kidding!)
Just having new drivers on the grid
Caterham vs. Marussia round 2!

Vettel losing.
Alonso WDC.
Bottas being competitive.
Hulkenberg cementing a front running drive.
Ricciardo doing well.
Perez winning races.
Grosjean's contribution to the crash highlights reel.

Vettel vs. Alonso - The two best drivers will once again engage in battle for the WDC. If Alonso wins he solidifies his status in this era, if Vettel wins he enters legendary status for all-time.

In my opinion Alonso has already solidified his status in this era. Winning the 2013 championship would see him "enter legendary status for all-time."

Also, why would Vettel winning his fourth in a row be such a guarantor of legendary status if his third wasn't? (I assume you think it wasn't as you imply he has not yet entered legendary status)

In my opinion Vettel is not ahead of Alonso in the history stakes just because he has one more championship.

Vet is a triple WDC. Like it or not, he's already among the greatest, as far as F1 history is concerned.

What I am looking forward to:
-No Red Bull domination
- a fast Ferrari car
- Massa beating Alonso
- Lewis beating Rosberg and Button
- If Massa can't beat Alonso, and Lewis doesn't have a good enough car to win the title, I want Vettel and Alonso fighting for the WDC and Vettel win his 4th title by overtaking Alonso in the last turn of the last race and then listen to Alonso's radio. There would be some epic fallout.

Sorry for OT but lol. Its not as simple as WDCs won. By that logic you think Vettel is as good as Senna and better than Gilles, correct?

- Massa beating Alonso
- Räikkönen contending for the title
- Vettel or Räikkönen for the title
- Loads of gorgeous crashes by the backmarker rookies.;)

Hamilton vs Rosberg
How wil Hulkenberg perform?
Bottas vs Maldonado
Will Perez Coulthardize Button or fade himself?
Will team really support Massa and how will he do

- Webber and Massa come back strong
- Top 5 teams being very close to each other
- No RB domination (I hope)
- Lewis in Merc and all the aspects that come with that
- Seeing how all the rookies perform
- Seeing what cars are actually good
- Lewis WDC (can dream right?)

for me ....

Hamilton vs Mclaren :smoking:
KImi in title hunt ... stealthily
webber falling in a spiral of mediocrity and deciding to call it days. (kimi to RBR);)
Vettel's march toward supremacy :(
Alonso to shut up and do the job. :o

I just want to see the titles won by someone other than Red Bull and Vettel. No offense to them, but it gets dull when it's always the same driver and team winning.

Looking forward to: Another season with stable regs to get a close field where driver and team skill on track matters and not just pre season car innovations/developments.

Not looking forward to: Another season with poor and arbitrary stewarding..

Webber pulling his finger out and challenging Vettel consistently, and winning the title.

Hamilton showing just what a pretender Rosberg really is.

Massa having a strong year.

Ricciardo making it awfully hard for Red Bull to deny him a top team seat.

Bottas proving a match for Maldo once the circus returns to Europe.

Marussia beating Caterham, and Tony Fernandez subsequently putting his money pit on the block for sale. Honda buying the entry.

The closeness of the grid. Interesting race strategies.. instead of 1 stoppers but without lottery results. And Hamilton in Mercedes against Rosberg and the rest of the field. And Perez at McLaren in terms of how he manages tyre wear and how he compares against Button.

I'll be keen on seeing how this year's rookies will perform, and how their respective performance compares to each other & the rest of the field.
Same goes with driver who switches team, particularly Hamilton, Perez, and Hulkenberg. The new "teammate battle" for me will be one of the most exciting thing to look forward to in 2013 :D
For the championship... as long as the races are not borefest any result is fine by me. Of course a favorable result for my favorite driver is the one I'll look forward to more :D

"Looking forward to" implies that I would somehow know what will happen. What I hope will happen is:

- The final battle for the WDC to be settled between Massa and Räikkönen. No matter who wins, it would be beautiful.
- It will be a close season with many different winners, keeping things interesting 'till the end.
- Kobayashi gets a contract to return to F1 in '14 with one of the big teams, or even sooner.

Good racing
Hoping that Merc DNF every race :p
Seeing Perez doing a 'Heikki' at McLaren
Hoping Ferrari, McLaren or Lotus can take on the RB's.
Spectacular incidents and crashes (as long as no one is hurt)
Sauber realising they should have kept Kamui
Massa showing some balls and not caving to Fred from race 1.

No, I was just as bored when Schumacher, my favourite driver of all time, was endlessly winning as well. Sorry to disappoint. :)

It's nice at first when it's your favourite, but racing needs excitement.

I think there was plenty of excitement in 2012. If another driver won, it wouldn't have made the season any more exciting than it was. It's not like Red Bull was dominating 2011-style. They weren't even the fastest. Personally, I enjoyed the 2012 season immensely, and if 2013 will be as exciting, it won't bother me if Vettel wins again. And it shouldn't bother anyone if they care only about the "excitement" and not their favorite drivers. ;)

I think the the only people who were not bored of the Ferrari-Schumarcher hegemony were tifosi, if you're not a RBR/Vettel/Newey fan, it's pretty hard not to feel bored after the last 3 seasons....

Why?

RB & Co may have won the championships but the racing has still been damn good. It's not like the Schumacher years where the car was often head and shoulders above the others and there was no real competition.

It still gets predictable, like people are already saying RBR will be the car to beat again. There were people who're bored of the Ferrari-McLaren rivalry even though competition was close, people just want to see different teams in the mix
