I'm all for more races in the US, but considering the location, one would assume that Texas and Arizona based Grands Prix would cannibalise each other market-wise.

I wouldn't go to Tucson even if they had F1. But I'm from Phoenix so we have 'beef'.

You're just sore because when the US Grand Prix was held in Phoenix in 1990 an ostrich race got three times as many spectators!

I can't believe Salem, Oregon has been overlooked again.

Erm... a full-blooded tilkedrome in the US? Do they have the cash?

with talk of a third event at Long Beach to follow

Can't believe they are still playing this card.

Come to think of it - given the prevalence of head-in-the-sand attitudes in F1 it could quite reasonably re-brand itself as ostrich racing!

Why not put a track in Glendale? They seem happy to flush taxpayers money down the toilet with the Coyotes fiasco.

LOL though PDX had a good run for a while with CART. If Bernard thought it was tough to get 5 star accommodations in Indianapolis he's not going to be very pleased with Tucson... ;)

The paper the story references may think that F1 cars are any pointy little cars with no fenders.

Surely Atlanta must need some sort of racing entertainment, since their beloved NHL franchises have a habit of heading up north...

I'm always for some upscale, non-club based road circuit in this country. If we aren't going to utilize the ones we are using now in the major motorsport series, why not build more?

Arizona beats Texas any day for those of us on the West coast. I would attend Arizona every year. Long Beach even better. :D

This is a lot less stressful when you already have a quality F1 venue.
