Brabham BT55, one lap in proper 1986 qualifying trim around Monza.

This should be the only answer to this question! 1300BHP of the new tracks I'd pick Turkey to do a lap! It would be the ultimate driving challenge to tackle the 'quad corner' in the most powerful F1 car ever!!!!

Would love to drive at Suzuka, and would love to drive a Ford GT40, so why not both together? :)

Absolut top?

2005 Mclaren around Spa.

Then, if I had the chance I would go with:
1983 Brabham around the long Brands Hatch
2013 Red Bull around Abu Dabhi at night
Audi e-tron around Le Mans
1988 McLaren around Monaco
Tenerife champions race circuit with a Lancia Delta Integralle
Old Nurburgring with a classic GP car : Maserati, Ferrari or Mercedes.

My birthday is on the 11 october. :p

1983 Brabham around the long Brands Hatch

Quite apart from their incredible power, there was something fun about the 1983 cars. It's as if the designers hadn't yet worked out how to get back all the downforce lost when ground effect was banned. So many pics from that year show the cars sliding.

I was tempted to nominate a Miller 91 around the awesome banking of the Culver City board track, but it wouldn't be a very time consuming lap, so it has to be Mark Donohue's Porsche 917/30 Can Am car around the old Spa.

The Williams 6-wheeler (FW08B) around the old Spa or Nurburgring.

I still find the fact that FIA banned 6-wheelers before it could race very disappointing. They should've given it at least a shot before banning it!

Agreed on all counts. F1's history is richer for innovative cars that are unfortunately restricted now, and not for a better product IMO.

Well, Tyrrell's P34 had 6 wheels.

1986 Benetton-BMW (B186) set up for qualifying around Nordschleife. My fear would be the engine breaking before I completed the lap... :p

I know the roads were pretty appalling when Jimmy Murphy won the 1921 French GP but dread to think what you'd have had to go through 26 years earlier !! Suggest you increase the ride height a bit !!

1. 2004 Ferrari F2004 on Bridgestones around Monza
2. 1988 McLaren MP4-4 on Goodyears around Suzuka
3. 1965 Lotus-Climax 33 on Dunlops around Nurburgring
4. 1987 Williams FW11 on Goodyears around Spa
5. 2005 Renault R25 on Michelins around Monaco

Those would be my top five choices, ranked from most to least wanted in order if I had to pick.

Williams FW18, Donnington Park.

I have only chosen Donnington because I know it well from experience in my own car, and driving an F1 car around there would give me the best perspective to find out just how many worlds away an F1 car is from normality....

I would genuinely prefer for Loeb to take me up Pikes Peak in that car. Call me a pussy, but I wouldnt drive it a fraction of its potential and he would wring its neck. Much better IMHO.

Ferrari 412 T2 - Donington or Suzuka or Spa or Monza
Subaru Impreza 555 Gr.A - Fafe
Bentley EXP Speed 8/Audi R8C - Le Mans
Ducati Desmosedici GP7 - Laguna Seca

I think that's all.

Don't give me ideas!

Yeah I'd love to be a passenger with him as well - but would still want to have a go myself.

Once upon a time, a very very long time ago, I crewed on a Class 4 unlimited SCORE truck, the kind that does the Baja 1000 and so forth and did a bit of passenger time.
Scarier than sh.t.
Essentially it was my job to watch gauges and help change tyres if we popped one, all the key gauges were on the passenger side of the dash, and let the driver and pits know if anything was wrong.
So, I was not to look out the windscreen. Which was a good idea, because nearly every time I did look out, it seemed we were about to go over a cliff, hit a giant cactus or were about to roll 82 times.
It was fun, it was hard work, it was hot and we broke a LOT of stuff and every time I got out of the beast it felt like my kidneys had swollen to about twice their normal size.
I'd love to run up Pikes Peak, but if I did it with Loeb, I'd have to wear a diaper cause I know he would scare the crap out of me.

Gotta be my all time favorite F1 car on my all time favorite track

Ferrari 312B2 on Nordschleife

Posted Image

I think I'll join you there. Nordschleife is the obvious choice if we only get one lap. 10 minutes instead of 2. Ground effects? No, no and no. Would have absolutely no idea when the grip ends. 199 different choices on the steering wheel? No. All current century cars goes away. Crap tires? No, so post slicks.

So I choose the car above. But I hope I get to drive before Melchiot since I doubt it will hold together for both of us :)
