This racing Ferrari with a competition history is now a concours show car, restored, but I am in riverside,CA next to Moreno Valley and wonder if anybody knows who actually bought the car from a man named Andrews who apparently had a rural piece of land near Riverside strewn with Ferraris and other old cars and people were , according to him, stealing parts if not whole cars. This was all many years ago, but Mike Sheehan, the Ferrari buyer in Costa Mesa,CA photographed it while it still in Andrew's hands only to be beat to it by Tom Meade. I'd like to hear what the scuttlebutt is on what Meade paid, he being a famous guy in the Ferrari world for creating his own body designs called Thomassina. One report is that he paid many hundreds of thousands but I can't believe he had that kind of money to invest. Of course today it is a million dollar plus car. Anyhow if anybody knows more about this car's "barn finding" I'd like to hear it, if only because I came to Riverside many times and never knew there was a Ferrari collector with cars scattered about his yard..
