If his aim was to look like a douche, then yes its better at that
OMG he has a black hat with the team logo, what a douche.
Jesus Christ.

Moreso the dumbass brim that you could shelter a family under
Posted 20 September 2013 - 07:04
I think the cap is pretty cool and will definitely pick one up. It's reminiscent of Ferrari's huge caps circa 2007, 2008.

That doesn't look any different from a regular F1 cap in terms of dimensions to me.

The cap is not different to Kimis/ Lotus or Alonsos. I find it a lot better than the McLaren, RBR or other Merceded caps.
Finally a design everyone can wear without looking like a dwarf or a clown

Yeah, F him and his personal choices. How dare he not act and dress how complete strangers imagine he should.

I am completely the opposite of his gangsta/rap/basketball clothing style, but I will be buying this cap if it's available in Mercedes store It's a normal, classic cap, but with well thought logos placement, so it doesn't look dumb like wearing huge Vodafone on your forehead
Posted 20 September 2013 - 08:21
What's next? Wearing a jersey 4 sizes too large and walking around with his shoes basically untied?
I think Villeneuve left the sport around 7 years ago.

next step will be to replace the Merc's silver arrow logo with New York yankee's logo
Posted 20 September 2013 - 08:42
So now Lewis got his redesigned cap.
Looks much better:
Why did he go with black. I though Lewis was all about the Bling, so shiny silver would have been much better
Posted 20 September 2013 - 08:44
Oh you guys!
Seriously?
Posted 20 September 2013 - 08:45
I have a feeling Lewis is going to cause a sensation today at some point, by taking his cap off again.
Posted 20 September 2013 - 08:59
I think the cap actually suits him and even compliments the chin strap. It's a good design that aligns with Mercedes' quest to attract a younger customer using using cars like the CLA and A-Class.
Let's hope the cap won't be 50 quid.

Quite a lot people on twitter already asked if the cap is available, so job done for the new design
. IMo it will sell very well

Must be that friday feeling, when an F1 drivers mental state is assessed by his reluctance or enthusiasm to wear a baseball cap.

Just reminds me why I don't like him. Thinks he bigger than the other drivers, bigger than Mercedes and a now thinks he's a clothing designer too. I'm sure plenty of other drivers don't like the caps, but they know it's part of the deal and just get on with it. Ironically the man is the most clueless dresser since MS and looks generally like a cock in his tacky bling anyway.
Posted 20 September 2013 - 10:34
Are people still getting irate over a bloody sponsors cap? I know it involves Hamilton, but come on..... this is reminiscent of the 'gap in the teeth' angst.

Have you looked at Merc's merchandise selection the past three years? It's been way behind Ferrari, Lotus and Mclaren's selection of team gear. I don't blame Lewis for wanting to get involved and I wouldn't be surprised if this caps sells exceptionally well. It's a nice collectors piece for fans.

Can the mods please rename the thread "Rosberg won't wear Mercedes cap"?
lol. Mind you, with that hair why would he want to hide it?

Very nice design and choice of colour.
I would buy the new cap...

He can dress how he likes and plenty of people will like the look, but that doesn't make him a highly qualified fashion designer, and I fail to see why he should be seen as different to every other driver that's ever had to wear a crappy corporate cap; if it's good enough for them why isn't it good enough for him? I could sympathise if he's told to wear it everywhere, but it's only a few minutes at a press conference or podium. Let's face it, the other kit is hardly 'fashionable';you wouldn't go clubbing in a bright red or silver race suit.

Wow are you serious? Lewis is just a normal human being just like almost everyone here on this board. Kimi brought the trend of huge caps into F1 and fashion-aware drivers picked up on it, nothing more to this story.

Mercedes obviously does not think like you, and are perfectly happy with Lewis and his cap preferences. If not they would not have allowed him, to do what he does

Must be his "I didn't choose the thug life, the thug life chose me" face.

This whole issue is happening inside your head with no input from Lewis or Mercedes. You have literally created an argument with yourself for no apparent reason.
And can someone start a new thread: Did Hamilton's new cap make him drive faster in Singapore practice?

you said the way he dresses makes him look like a cock... what is wrong with how he dresses ? he dresses like millions of other people, just because you can't relate to the demographic who dress that way doesn't mean they all look like cocks.
you're basically saying that most young black men look like cocks...
