It's weird not having the defending champ in the chase. That's probably happened before, right?

Took four tyres and several others took two tyres + it was a rather slow four tyre pitstop so lost another two places to ohter four tyre cars.

And for the first time ever, taking 2 tires worked.

Just one crash, and it happened to involved Montoya. Seriously. As for the race, this looks set to be the 12 Hours of Chicago.

The American Civil War began on April 12, 1861 when Confederate troops bombarded the Union garrison at Fort Sumter, South Carolina. Who was on pole for the Winston Cup race that weekend?

Stewart missed in 2006 after winning the title in 05. IIRC possibly by the margin involved with causing high speed wrecks at Daytona and Pocono that year.
Keselowski picked it up over the last month but didn't leave enough margin for error. He's a candidate to possibly score the most points over the 10 races but not win the title, unless Penske can can cut a late deal for a 14th spot

That would be simultaneously awesome and sad.

Restart planned for 1 hour (8:00 track, 9:00 et). Must be fun for those fans (have tix for Loudon next week, but no lights to factor in if there's a repeat).

Trivia, eh? Here's one: did you know that Hitler on several occasions worked himself up into such a rage, that he would get down on the floor and grab a rug or carpet with his teeth and try to tear it apart like a dog? He once did this just before taking the Sudetenland, when he was nervous about possibly starting a war over the action.
