Best Driver: Nico Hülkenberg
Worst Driver: Paul di Resta, Felipe Massa, GVDG
Best Team: Lotus
Worst Team: Mercedes GP
Best Overtake: Webber on Alonso
Best Moment: Jeep on the back straight. Major WTF moment.
DRS + Tyres: DRS was okay. Tires were fine grip wise, but safety wise unacceptable. If the lock up by Perez was due to running down the thread of the front tire, there needs to be another layer of compound between the thread and the cord so that failures like these don't occur.
And the race in a sentence...: Weird one, and in the end, average. Gave it 7/10.

Best Driver - A close call between Vettel and Hulkenberg. A perfect race for Vettel and possibly the best ever performance from Hulkenberg keeping 2 World Champions behind him. Hulkenberg gets my vote.
Worst Driver - Sutil for taking out Mark Webber
Best Team - RBR.
Best Overtake - Raikkonen on Grosjean for 2nd place
Best Moment - No booing during the podium interview
#7

Dull race. Dull championship. I just oversaw it rather than taking the 2 hour we-already-know-the-finishing-order show. Really miss when I got up in the early morning on Sunday because I couldn't sleep due to the championship being at stake (2006, 2007, 2008, 2010). Boring days these ones.

Best Driver - Hulkenberg, obviously.
Worst Driver - Di Resta
Best Team - Lotus
Best Overtake - The Alonso vs Hamilton fight
Best Moment - The 4x4 staging its own track invasion.
DRS + Tyres - DRS about right, tyres too.
And the race in a sentence... Not much followed by chaos but with a familiar result out front.

Kelateboy's not a Red Bull or Vettel fan much, is he. No booing on the podium was your best moment of the whole race/day? Fair enough.

I said 5/10.
Best Driver - I'l go with Hulkenberg. I thought he was very good under pressure from Hamilton.
Worst Driver - Di Resta
Best Team - RBR - Sebs car looked completely hooked up, and Webber was on for a good finish too.
Best Overtake - I quite liked Massa's overtake dicing with the Williams and Perez.
Best Moment - Erm...
Tyres + DRS - Return of the exploding Pirelli. They will have their excuses. Every time I see a car open its DRS slot I lose interest - maybe the extra speed will let the guy behind blast past, maybe it won't. I'm not engaged.
It got good at the end, but was largely entertaining for the wrong reasons - an exploding tyre, and exploding Red Bull, and throwing a truck onto a live racing track. Sure things were shaken up, but an F1 race shouldn't require incompetence to be exciting.

voted 7/10
Best Driver Hulkenberg
Worst Driver hmm.. Massa, Perez...? I'll go with Perez
Best Team merc
Best Overtake Raikkonen on Grosjean, hands down. "who's your daddy?" move.
Best Moment the random firetruck on the long straight of course.
DRS + Tyres tyres too soft, it was more at the china/spain end of the spectrum, than at the push like hell end
And the race in a sentence... started bad, turned out more exciting
edit: forgot DRS. as usual, useless in a DRS train, when it was 1v1, then a bit too much on the long straight.

Best Driver: Hulkenburg
Worst Driver: Di Resta
Best Team: Lotus
Best Overtake: Kimi on Romain
Best Moment: The fire marshals car that came onto the track
DRS + Tyres: DRS was okay and Perez's tyre explosion will be a concern
And the race in a sentence... Chaotic

Worst Driver Di Resta
Best Team Lotus - I thought they handled the Kimi/Romain last stint correctly
Best Overtake Romain on Lewis
Best Moment Though it could've been really dangerous Nico's nose failure was spectacular
DRS + Tyres DRS was fine but the tyres were a bit fragile for the lower track temps
And the race in a sentence... Exciting race, especially if you ignored Seb's domination.

8/10. Fantastic race!
Best Drivers - Raikkonen and Hulkenberg
Worst Driver - n/a
Best Team - Red Bull
Best Overtake - Too many.. (yet to properly watch Webber on Alonso, hearing that was great)
Best Moment - Fire-truck, Hulkenberg defensive sequences (particularly Hulk, Ham and Alo zig-zagging after turn-4,5), Raikkonen getting Grosjean, Hamilton trying all possible tricks on Hulkenberg (he was millimeters away from Hulk's back sometimes)
DRS + Tyres - Tyres should not explode like that
And the race in a sentence... Beautiful!

Worst- Sutil, Massa, di Resta... take your pick
Best pass- Webber on Alonso. Cheeky
Best team- Lotus
Best moment... the Truck on the track
DRS/Tyres- DRS fine, though the 2nd zone could still be shorter. tyres fine apart from Perez blowout
In a sentence- Vettel on the brink

Rated it 6/10. Not that exciting of a race, but not a snoozefest either.
Best Driver: Sebastian Vettel, strong all weekend. Nico Hülkenberg did a good job, too.
Worst Driver: Felipe Massa, a classic case of 'What is this I don’t even'.
Best Team: Red Bull. The team clearly had the measure of everybody else. Vettel was obviously dominant at the front, and save for an unfortunate puncture and a rather odd accident, Webber would have been able to put in a good result as well.
Best Overtake: Kimi Räikkönen around the outside of Turn 4, I forget who he overtook - Ricciardo?
Best Moment: The front wing failure on Nico Rosberg's Mercedes was a real -moment. Thankfully it didn't fall off, so I can safely say that it looked spectacular. I now think that all cars should have fireworks fitted to their sidepods that automatically launch when the driver makes a pass.
DRS + Tyres: DRS didn't seem to help much, which is excellent because it is a silly gimmick. The tyres were obviously fantastic, and they stuck to the road so beautifully that half the track was littered with pieces of rubber halfway through the race.
And the race in a sentence: Rather odd track that somehow produces some odd races.

Best Driver Top 4, Vettel, Hulk, Kimi, Grosjean
Worst Driver Di Resta, Perez. Grosjean really has left this group
Best Team Lotus
Best Overtake Gorsjean on Hamilton, Kimi on Grosjean
Best Moment Firetruck leading
DRS + Tyres DRS bad in cartrains when people hitting limiter. Would there be more passes without it?
And the race in a sentence... 2014 can't come soon enough

Worst Driver Both Force India drivers were hideous.
Best Team 1. RBR 2. Lotus
Best Overtake Webber on Alonso and Grosjean on Hamilton.
Best Moment All the good wheel to wheel fights we've seen
DRS + Tyres I thought DRS made it too easy other than in Hulkenberg's case
And the race in a sentence... Enjoyable

Best Driver - Hulky
Worst Driver - Sutil
Best Team - RB
Best Overtake - Kimi on Romain
Best Moment - For myself? Lewis and Alonso wheel to wheel, "pure driving, real racing, and that makes me happy"
DRS + Tyres - Frightening
And the race in a sentence... - For a one-sided win, quite entertaining

Best Driver - Vettel because he was perfect, but most fun was due to Kimi and Hulk.
Worst Driver - Di Resta (close call with Massa)
Best Team - Red Bull, but Sauber's improvements are quite impressive
Best Overtake - Kimi on Alonso
Best Moment - Hamilton taking Hulk in T1 and being retaken on the straight (close call with Rosberg's FW sparkles for the beautiful yet scary image)
DRS + Tyres - I'd have put DRS between turns 3 and 4, not main straight. But it was OK. Tyres... well, ask Perez
And the race in a sentence... Very entertaining, pity the battles are not for the lead.

Best Drivers - Hülkenberg
Worst Driver - uh strong competition here
Best Team - Red Bull
Best Overtake - Webbo on Alonso(?)
Best Moment - Hulkenberg re-passing Hamilton
DRS+Tyres: We don't need DRS and Pirelli/FiA should rethink their tyres policy. Today people(Ham) with a lot drag/downforce were punished, this is what i missed in the most races! Nonetheless DRS is a racing killer. Today we saw what happens if passing isn't that easy -> we got exciting racing because a slower car was able to keep the faster cars behind
Race in a sentence: whilst at the front everything was boring, the fight for the fourth was one of the best battles this year!
Rating 8/10,

Worst Driver - Sutil from Massa from Di-Resta
Best Team - Lotus
Best Overtake - Webber on Alonso
Best Moment - The Hulk and Lewis battle although I did find the jeep quite funny (even though it really wasn't!)
DRS + Tyres - DRS seemed ok. Tyres not perfect
And the race in a sentence... - Organised chaos
#31

Worst Driver - Massa
Best Team - Lotus
Best Overtake - Hamilton's re overtake on Alonso and the general battle. His defence was sterling
Best Moment - "Does anybody have any suggestions?"
DRS + Tyres - DRS varied because so many setups. Tyres horrendous

Best Driver: Vettel and Hulk, hulk was superb in car placement
Worst Driver: There was some excellent driving so not really going to pick one
Best Team: RBR
Best Overtake: Kimi on Gro
Best Moment: Kimi in the waiting area trying to hide himself LMAO behind the towel when Gro mentioned he didn't expect Kimi to pass him
DRS + Tyres: DRS was fine, tires made some parts of the race interesting
And the race in a sentence...
My favorite driver got the short end of the stick however there was some awesome racing going on. So the last 1/3 rd of the race was quite entertaining.

Best Driver - Close between Vettel and Hulkenberg, will choose Nico because we're used to Seb being excellent already
Worst Driver - Pff the Force Indias, van de Garde, Massa too many I'd say
Best Team - Red Bull and Lotus , last one wins budget corrected
Best Overtake - Hulk passing Hamilton after SC and re-passing him later cool as a cucumber
Best Moment - Safety car restarts, boy do I hate those lenghty SC's for minor incidents
DRS + Tyres - DRS fine maybe some finetuning, tyres no problem most drivers could manage them fine
And the race in a sentence... - Well worth getting out of bed for if you are a fan of racing

Best Driver Close between Vettel, Hülkenberg and Räikkönen. I'll rule Seb off because he's had too many and say Nico just because he deserves it.
Worst Driver DiResta or Massa.
Best Team Lotus definitely
Best Overtake Lots of great overtakes but i'll choose Räikkönen on Grosjean for 2nd. Only really had that one chance and he made good use of it. A really determinent move.
Best Moment Jeep on track? Rosberg's front wing gets my pick. Just hank god it didn't come off.
DRS + Tyres Good to see Sauber have found a way to negate the effect of DRS!
And the race in a sentence... Good fighting behind Vettel
#35

The race was very good. If it wasn't for Vettel, I would even call it a classic.
That's the problem. I think this is the biggest reason Vettel is being booed. Take him out of the equation, and F1 would still be fun. Look at all the different people in 2nd, 3rd, 4th place lately.
#36
Posted 06 October 2013 - 17:26
Best Team - Sauber, Lotus. Did this race give Kimi reason to think he may have made a mistake?
Best Overtake - Webber on Alonso, Hulk on Hamilton.
Best Moment - Hulk and Alonso, Hulk and Hamilton; MAL, PER, GUT, MAS battle.
DRS + Tyres - Never OK. Hembrey always tries to confuse the issues of safety with "we were told to produce a this and that tyre". And this is the company that is renewing for SIX more years...
And the race in a sentence... - The organization is bad (track cleaning after incidents, reaction time to fire, a random car on track), but IMO the track is better than tracks as Valencia and others and produced a very entertaining race that showed the potential of getting rid of DRS.

Best Driver Hulkenberg
Worst Driver Either Force India, but Sutil probably edges it. Woeful.
Best Team Lotus
Best Overtake Too many to mention
Best Moment As above
DRS + Tyres DRS about right, tyres too fragile
And the race in a sentence... Up there with Bahrain as one of the better Vettel victories we've had.
Also, idiot of the race award goes the Korean marshals/race direction. Staggering incompetence today.

Worst Driver Di Resta
Best Team RBR aside, Lotus did remarkable job
Best Overtake Lewis retaking position from Alonso was good,
Best Moment Maldonado losing 4 places in a space of 2 corners. As Will Buxton would say "oh shut up"
DRS + Tyres DRS just about ok. Tyres looked okey untill Perez
And the race in a sentence... We actually had some good racing and off-track action and incidents

Best Driver Nico Hulkenberg
Worst Driver Adrian Sutil

Best Driver The Hulk
Worst Driver PdR, Massa, Sutil. Can't decide.
Best Team Lotus
Worst Team Mercedes & FI
Best Overtake Webber vs. Alonso. Hamilton vs. Alo was wicked too.
Best Moment I could say Fire marshall truck, but i think it shows too much of a safety issue to be considered "best moment".
DRS + Tyres DRS was actually pretty OK. Tyres too, they just had no tread, that's all
Worst Luck (yes i'm making this up) Mark Webber
And the race in a sentence... Hulk saved the day which otherwise would have been a complete disaster from Pirelli and FIA.

Best Driver - Hulkenberg. Put the car where he has no right to and defended like a boss.
Worst Driver - Di Resta. That's the kind of dumbass mistake no-one in F1 has really made for a while. Also crying about the incident in Q1 with Bianchi ruining his Q2 session is pure stupidity.
Best Team - Red Bull have the best car by a mile, but Lotus really worked well to get their two drivers on the podium. Lotus.
Best Overtake - Either Webber on Alonso or Kimi on Grosjean. Webber's was well thought out, but Kimi's was instinctive and opportunistic... hmmm.. Webber's. I like an pass with craft behind it.
Best Moment - The 'Mexican/Venezuelan/Brazilian standoff' was fun. Was waiting for some Michael Bay explosions and heads flying during that one, but alas they kept it all together...
DRS + Tyres - Meh. As always. Meh. Actually thought Perez' 'blowout' was good in a way, as it showed that a damaged Pirelli in 2012 spec doesn't just go bang. It retained it's basic structure enough for Perez to make a safe trip back to the pits. Of course a tyre carcass on the track isn't great for safety, but it's no worse than the bits of carbon fibre that a few physical encounters can throw up...
And the race in a sentence... Gangnam style at a karaoke bar. Fun, but inherently annoying and unfulfilling.

Best Driver : The Hulk
Worst Driver : Massa. He was so boring I don't even know where he finished. I don't even care really. You're still in a Ferarri, dude.
Best Team : Lotus
Best Overtake : Kimi on Grosjean
Best Moment : The Hulk fending off Lewis to the point where Lewis, eaxasperated, had to ask for help from the pitwall
DRS + Tyres : Ok
And the race in a sentence : Pretty action packed behind Seb. One of the more absorbing races this season

Hulkenberg was the man today. What else does the guy need to do to get a ride next year?
Massa and Sutil made big mistakes today.
RBR was best team and would have been able to prove it but for Webber's bad luck.
Best overtake was Rosberg on Hamilton which may spark some controversy.
Best moment was Hulk fending off much faster cars.
Worst moment was Webber's fire and the firetruck. Could have been much worse.
Tyres and DRS were sh!t as usual. We could literally watch the bits flying off.
Expected boring but got very good racing behind P1.
Gave it 8

Best Driver Hulk takes it. Kimi and Vettel both deserve plaudits too.
Worst Driver Nether Force India driver covered themselves in glory, and Van de Garde was reported in several incidents.
Best Team Lotus, for finishing best.
Best Overtake Kimi on Grosjean
Best Moment In terms of racing, Massa, Perez, Maldonado, Bottas and Gutierrez going wheel-to-wheel without anyone getting hurt, and the Hulk/Hami/Alonso battle, with Rosberg and Button in support. Otherwise, Rosberg's wing failure was spectacular, and that fire truck randomly appearing in the middle of the pack was hilariously incompetent.
DRS + Tyres The DRS gave no significant advantages, and a tyre blew up.
Interesting race after the last few we've had, plenty of action away from the front which was good for us watching.

Worst Driver -

Best Driver: Hulkenberg, not just the best drive today but one of the best in recent years.
Worst Driver: Almost too many to count. Both Force Indias, Hamilton, Perez, Maldonado all in the running. Have to give it to Sutil for being affirmatively dangerous.
Best Team: Red Bull. Was on for a 1-2 before Perez and Sutil intervened. Honorable mentions to Lotus and Sauber.
Best Overtake: Raikkonen's. He's been going around the outside for years, and still people can't do anything about it.
Best Moment: Hulkenberg's battle with Hamilton.
DRS + Tyres: OK. The tire explosion was down to Perez being an idiot with a huge and unnecessary lockup. DRS zones were just tight enough to keep Hamilton honest.
And the race in a sentence... Like Valencia, if the Korean GP is going off the calendar, it goes out with a bang and can hold its head high.
