Perhaps it is time for another sub-forum just for the listomaniacs?
Is anyone else fed up with 'lists' threads?

I don't really see where you are coming from. At the moment we are not getting that many 'list' threads. I've had a look at the top 3 pages and there are only a couple of threads that could be described as 'list' threads in the sense that they ask for examples of something such as "Names of drivers 'contradicting' the brand of car they're driving" but none are classic 'list' threads like "Your top ten drivers". If anyone starts a thread like that, a long-serving forum member generall;y posts a link to a similar thread in the past and says the proverbial "Have you used the 'search' function?"
On another forum, whenever anyone starts a 'list' thread, the moderator asks posters to provide a paragraph justifying their selection. This sort of works, as one of two things happens : either a discussion develops or the thread withers away as nobody is prepared to go to the trouble of writing anything.

You have to forgive Pete. He's obviously feeling a bit listless at the moment...

Thanks for your considered replies..... I thought for a moment that I'd accidentally posted this in the Paddock Club Forum!
I wonder if I have contracted listeria? Perhaps I should see a doctor..........

Be careful if you do. There's a long waiting list.

Do you have a 'History' of that?

If they are started by a particular person I ignore them as it is usually a waste of time and effort.

For how long they've been telling us it's a temporary "glitch"?
It's gone from temporary glitch to permanent bitch. We need a list!

I'm fed up with the slowness of this forum. It's just no fun any longer if you have to wait five seconds for EVERY effing page to load.
For what it's worth, this is not a universal problem. I haven't noticed any slowness at all. Could it be a browser issue? Or your OS?

It's ok with me as well - just looks bloody horrible
As for lists. Not really my cup of tea, so I try to ignore them.

Pete & Michael F,
I'm sure some of the childish & moronic replies to you complaints are driving you to distraction.
If that's the case, my (free) advice to you is to just relax, lie down in a darkened room & listen to some soothing classical music.
Perhaps something by Franz Liszt.
Hope that helps...

The only list I've done this year was on the LeHavre-Portsmouth Ferry!!!
Dead calm sea but a few bottles fell off the tables.

That shot was taken 41.3 nautical miles out of Le Havre wasn't it? I recognise that patch of ocean.

Bob's Classics is a specialist in exotic reproductions. They get blisters on their fingers (apologies, Ringo), doing calisthenics, making revivalist-type cars.
