Anyone else having significant trouble using the Forums with IE 11.  All sorts of stuff is happening when I try to use it

1.  Sometimes I can't place the cursor in the text box to reply

2.  If I click on "quote", the quote never appears in the reply box

3.  Cannot copy and paste anything into a text box

4.  Cannot enter a hyperlink.

And before any smart answers such as "use Chrome", we're limited at work to using IE 11.

I think on IE I wasn't able to type a message at all. The box appeared but no text. And sometimes I was able to type, but I was only able to type at the end, trying to add words to the middle of the sentences was impossible. It was weird.

This is something we're going to need to look into - the latest version of IE which we've tested the site on is Internet Explorer 10.

Is the main Autosport site working properly for those of you on IE 11 or is it just the forum which is struggling?

And are you using IE 11 on mobile or desktop? I know that when Internet Explorer 10 came out, the site didn't work on IE 10 on mobile until we made some fairly large changes.

The site is fine in IE11 (desktop) it's just some bits on the forums that don't work.

IE9 desktop is a real problem for me too.  Currently typing light grey test into a box with no text controls unless I choose to quote someone or click for 'more reply options'.  The active-x or java or HTML (or whatever) text control just isn't loading.

Any progress on this? It's super annoying to switch back to a backup browser just for the forums.

I am using IE11 on a desktop, and this forum is a real pain.  Like Cool Beans, I don't want to switch browsers, but right now I have only intermittent access to emoticons, no access to quotes, cut-and-paste doesn't work, and the dialogue box for posting images appears, then just freezes - not only doesn't it respond when I click the 'post' (or whatever it says) or 'cancel' buttons, I can't even close it by the 'x' button ...

This is the only place I am having problems, and I don't feel very happy about being a test guinea pig.

A good look at your site stats will tell you volumes, especially the rate of users posting pictures and links.

I use IE11 with no additional problems apart from those already identified with the Forum software.

I am tired of flicking light switches on and off and doing multiple cut and paste attempts, not to mention the need to refresh the page to view posted images...on the plus side, my typing skills have received a boost with all the additional practice.

Just tried Alt T and compatibility View....got this dumb message "Sorry, you don't have permission for that! [#10193] We encountered a problem processing your login request. Please try again". But it didn't throw me out...changes to be assessed idc

This was the case years ago, but do web designers/coders still need to cater specifically to get their pages to render correctly on IE?

Don't know if anyone is experiencing this but...

If I click on the 'messenger' 'notifications' or 'your profile' icons at the top right, and a drop down list of recent messages/notifications/profile options appears - I can't see all of them because they are obscured by the banner ad at the top of the page. In other words, behind the banner ad. Kind of annoying...

All probably related to the compatibility view problems reported here:

http://www.theregist...ics_crm_online/

Solution seems to be to either roll back to IE 10 - although if you're on either Windows 8 Touch or either version of Windows 8.1 that's not an option - or use another browser.
