Reading the posts on here, we all seem to be of the same age and interests. I remember running a swapmeet here in Cumbria in the mid seventies, I think the first here abouts, and while only about 40 people attended, the quality of the stuff that changed hands would be worth many thousands now.
I was quite early into while metal, dealing with the notorious John Day and his various off shoots. When I moved hous 18 years ago most of my collection went into boxes and only about 50 of my favourites and MGs are on display. I sold my 300 diecasts a couple of years ago via Vectis and was quite pleased with what I got and how they operated.
I am now sorting my white metal built kits which are of varying standards according to the quality of the kit and the builder! There are also some of the lovely Paddy Stanley resin models and I also have a few of Ugo Fadini's record breakers in resin which I might sell for the right price. I am not sure whether to go to Vectis of sell via Ebay or to a dealer. I am currently building another 1:1 scale MG so the money may help there!
Any suggestions?
