Just learned that early Corvette and then AMC Trans-Am Javelin racing icon Ronnie Kaplan passed March 2 at 87.
See "We lost Ronnie Kaplan" by Jim Gessner in the Corvette forum and also "Ronnie Kaplan driving force at AMC..."

Ronnie Kaplan being interviewed at the Tribute to the Trans Am in 2009. Seemed like a very nice fellow. I think he was only there for one day.

Sorry to hear this sad news. Through ex-Penske photographer Pete Luongo, I was able to meet and talk to Mr. Kaplan a few years back. RIP sir.
