He should be able to navigate to Leagues, then on left side under Display Options search AtlasF1, up it comes

For double the fun, don't forget to join fantasyracers.com as well. Or make that thrice the fun, as they actually manage to update the results within two hours of the race finish.

So I joined the league, set drivers, chasis and engine, but where do you set everything for each race? Or is that it?

That's it Bourb, your team is now set for this weekend (although you can set a pole time prediction on the home page, there's bonus points for that mini-game). Go into the dropdown where 'logout' is and there's an FAQ section that explains point rules and etc

It's not on the list either, tbh that whole website is a broken mess.

I'm a tad confused about chassis/engine/team selection. Particularly how I could have a 'Caterham' engine, or anything other than Renault, Ferrari or Mercedes. If I purchase a Williams chassis, do I automatically get the Williams (Mercedes) engine? Do I have to buy it separately? Would there be any difference between a Williams engine and a Mercedes engine? It seems a bit odd...but I'm willing to give it a go. $100m seems a bit stingy though.

Works for me m8, select 'Leagues' in the top bar on the homepage, 'display options' on the right and search AtlasF1 (no spaces) and you should get one result (with owner shown as 'le chats noir'), click on it and you'll see 'join' in Options next to the logo.
Happy hunting! (i'd post an image but that's not de rigeur here any more apparently *sighs*)

The distinction between the engines is primarily to help the scoring.......if we all selected Mercedes engines and the points were accrued off the top Merc engine home then it'd be a mess, so a Caterham Renault isn't the same as a Lotus Renault isn't the same as a Red Bull Renault yeah? Just go with me on this......it's specifically to help with scoring (read the FAQ mentioned above in my reply to Bourbon).
Think of it this way - you can either make a complete team with your $100m or just buy some of the elements (i noticed in the stats that some have bought top drivers, which means they've missed on at least one element to provide that spare money) so you need one 'banker' element to try and get points in, whether it be engine or chassis (2 chances of scoring) or a driver (who scores more points than the other elements).
You'll find you get into the rhythm soon enough they're good games to play, especially with these knobheads ;)
ETA - this was my 3500th post

Joined up yesterday ready to go... didnt seem to be much in the way of choice with opening budget if you run a complete team. Do you even score if say you only choose one driver?
No, you need a full team. Doesn't give you many options, most will probably run with one Williams and then the cheapest drivers/engines they can buy.
Regarding FantasyF1, i don't know who set up that league, but we would need the league number to join. Anyone?

Of course, i still got it wrong and won't get points, but still...
