Hello again!
Are you ready for the second round of Driver of the Weekend? This week we go to Malaysia and our driver is Kevin Magnussen.
Questions
- How many laps will Kevin complete in all the practice sessions combined?
- What will be Kevin's qualifying position (before any penalties are applied)?
- What will be Kevin's gap to to the fastest time in the last qualifying session he takes part in (rounded up to the nearest 0.1 second. If you think Kevin will take pole, indicate the gap to second place as a negative value)?
- What will be Kevin's finishing position in the race or, if you think Kevin will retire from the race, how many laps will he complete (choose either finish or retirement, being classified counts as finishing the race)?
- How much slower than the outright fastest lap of the race will Kevin's fastest lap be (rounded up to the nearest 0.1 second. If you think Kevin will set the fastest lap, indicate the gap to second fastest as a negative value)?
- How many times will Kevin visit the pit lane for any reason (tire change, penalty, retirement, etc.) during the race?
Please notice the slight change to question 3 and 5.
Scoring
A correct guess is worth 20 points and the minimum is 0 points. Fractional scores are rounded up. For incorrect guesses points are deducted in the following way:
- -0.5 points/lap
- -3 points/position
- -1 point/0.1 s
- predicted finish: -3 points/position, 0 points awarded if the driver retires
predicted retirement: 10 points if the driver actually retires, 10 points for correct lap, -0.5 points/lap, 0 points if the driver finishes the race - -1 point/0.1 s
- -8 points/visit
Although I feel question 2 and 4 are a bit too generous, I'm leaving everything except the last question (-7 -> -8) unchanged.
I will adjust these values as the season progresses and depending on the driver in an effort to keep the difficulty level relatively constant.
Deadline
Before the first practice session.
Schedule
Someone suggested that Nico Rosberg and the Monaco GP would be a nice match so I moved him there. Instead of taking Grosjean away I decided that Monaco, being Monaco, would be a nice venue for a double round.
