Excuse the lack of creativity, just wanted to get something on the board. Busy day at the track today, culminating with Cup showdown (non winners) and trucks this evening.

This is a change from the past, when the Showdown was just before the much-ballyhooed all star race (mandatory video of the Allison crash finish and mantra of how 'they let it all hang out with no points at stake').

Was hoping we could skip the All-Star race, honestly.

The Trucks and the Cupless NW Iowa race interest me, though.

Power indeed if it boosted Wise ahead of Danica. Unfortunately no Larson, figured he along with Bowyer would have it all over that showdown field.

Mandatory drink everytime 'checkers or wreckers' is uttered on TV.....

Why is it starting so late? That's what made me think of the semi-final race was immediately before it...

Because qualifying is right before the race I guess. With undoubtedly an hour of awkward interviews and driver intros sandwiched in between.

Lots of guys are tearing their **** up in qualifying. Stewart ****ed his transmission, Hamlin risking a blown motor, McMurray forgetting 2nd gear comes after 1st.

Don't know about you, fellow Wise-ettes but I'm semi-pumped. Blame it on the gin. And blame 'that' drama that is insignificant in the long run, buuuut when you are 25, it's just a pain in the ass. Or is it?

"Racing" sure has changed since I last tuned in. Looks like a cross between an MTV awards show and the Grammies with a bit the an Olympics opening ceremony thrown in for good measure. In a word: drivel.

Nope, the FCC only has content control over broadcast. The FCC has no control over cable/fiber optic/satellite TV content. I was a legal intern for the FCC for a year...

What in god's name is Kahne doing here? Even that cheat Bowyer deserves more 'fan' 'recognition'.

What's with the Kasey hatin? The guy has won quite a few races, the majority with Evernaham. I'd say that's an accomplishment.

Candy Cane is a good driver, he definitely belongs in this race. He's just too much of a sweetie, he won't wreck guys to win.

Kahne hate? No. More of a disbelief. Logano? Now, that is hate, my friends. But Biffle is starting to be the Keselowski '14 of this race.

Ignore my Kahne jabs. I just have a propensity towards unweakness.

This is probably the only race I'd like to see few drivers finish, as it looks like Wise is staying a little bit behind, to avoid accidents, and then just pick up the prize money they get. Rather take the last finishing position than wrecking the car!
