Johnson on pole here and long overdue for a win not a good omen for the rest, or those wishing for an entertaining race at this particular event (slim to begin with) once the 'comers and goers' (another phrase to drink each time heard on TV) early phase ends.

I was very impressed by Kurt's Indy drive today. Hopefully he gets a nice finish in the 600. I love it when drivers run multiple series so it's only right to that a racer gets rewarded for it. I'd like to know what's he doing tomorrow though. 23 hours of sleep maybe?

The track is a lost cause for entertaining racing, as evidenced by the constant all star race tinkering. The road course or 4-wide dragstrip might be better options....

Kurt was my only focus last night. When lady luck called, I just collapsed from Sunday night exhaustion. *granted the day/night before I was busy with halfassed university 'work' / going to the woods with a lot of wine / and then more wine
I tell you, going to sleep with a race lowly playing along next to you... the last thing it would of needed to be 110% was a goodnight BJ.

This was a pretty good race btw. Though, with the shitstain that was the 2012 Coke 600, maybe my expectations plummetted.
Wished it had stayed green so that Carl had cruised to victory, but whatever, Johnson was going to win eventually.
