Pop goes another Ferrari engine?

Just me or do atleast the Redbulls fall apart way to easily? DC's suspension didnt hold up much resistance when Massa hit him aswell...on both sides.

What have they done to the cars this year ? They've made them all out of egg shells surely ?? I noticed in Oz that Coulthards car just fell apart well its just done it again.

Yeah Coulthards car only seemed to go over a couple of kerbs and fell apart with wheels hanging off etc! Strange!

oh boy we're off to glamourous start to the season
engine failures, no TC, no engine breaking, hell breaks loose - but does it mean we'll see SC couple times in each race now ? maybe they overdid w/ regulations this year - thoughts?

There's something fishy going on for sure!

One Ferrari and one team using Ferrari engines retired.

Red Bull's design looks really dangerous. That car is a death trap. :(

I noticed it on Australia too during the race, the way suspensions are breaking seems so strange :o The cars are really fragile this year. seems dangerous, tbh.

The Ferraris showing again an amazing speed but reliability problems are still there, possibly the gearbox this time.

repcobrabham: Aye, but Force India run the Ferrari and Sutil had what looked like an engine issue.

Oh, and they need to stop that Red Bull falling apart like that - it's really quite dangerous :(.

The thing is Glock's car broke in the same way as Coulthard's on sunday and today, even though his accident was harder on the car, it shouldn't do that. I wonder if we are going to see more cars falling apart like that.

BBC 5L Sports have reported that there is nothing wrong with the car of Kimi Raikkonen and that it was a misunderstanding of the telemetary by the Pitwall, and he was told to stop.

Sounds like they thought his car was near to failing so panicked and told him to stop then realised they read the telemetry wrong... or something like that.

So the Ferrari-McLarean head-to-head fight continues.

I hope Ferrrai won't have technical problems this time and we will finally get to see which is the stronger package.

I think he's done that although Fred had gearbox problems apparently.

Ferrari seemed to me to be in a different league to everyone here - able to routinely pop in mid 35's when everyone else is struggling to run mid '36's. I look forward to seeing the stint times but I guess we had better pray for rain on Sunday unless we want to witness the kind of domination not seen since 2004. Of course they might break down.

So, which drivers definately did a low-fuel run?

Button........... 1.36.037
Vettel............ 1.36.474
Fisichella........ 1.36.756

The difference between Hamilton and Kovalainen is very big, but if Hamilton really did a Q-sim, then I'd say that Ferrari have possibly got even more than half a second on them.
Edit - I think Hamilton did a Q-sim, as he could've done a 34.7(?) had he completed the lap. This also means that Ferrari's advantage is far less.

From early in first free, I've kept an eye on Renault vs BMW, and I think they're evenly matched, and Willliams aren't too far behind. Then Red Bull, but I have a feeling Webber didn't find the sweet spot set-up wise, so I think there's more speed in the RB4.

The RA108 works well here - good.

they have to finish a race first before they can put that speed to good use. I want reliability first and at the moment Kimi's car seems too tempermental.
