Never saw a replay or heard how it happened, but how did Rubens end up with a broken front wing exiting his pit box?

Rubens Barrichello, Honda (DNF):
"The car was performing well today so it was especially disappointing that the incident in the pitlane with Fisichella brought my race to an end. From what we can see, it was just one of those unfortunate incidents. The team released me and advised me of traffic, so I stayed out of the fast lane. Fisichella overtook me and cut into his box clipping my front wing at the same time. I managed to get round the lap with the wing caught under the front of the car but unfortunately the damage caused to the bodywork was too great to continue and I was forced to retire.”

So Honda released a driver into traffic in the pit lane

Absolutely their own stupid fault then.

Remember Honda would have had Jenson waiting to be serviced so they had to release Rubens as soon as possible. Would have liked to have seen the incident though. Very bizarre. :

Don't know, but it's a toss up between Rubens and DC for most boring F1 drivers of all time.
At least Rubens had the excuse of having to play 2nd fiddle to Schumacher, but what's DC's excuse for being so boring, incompetent and freakshow looking?

They would want to release him ASAP regardless, but you cannot do that if there is another car in the way. As you say though, it would be nice to see some footage to really understand what happened.
