Does anyone know of a site that has a picture of what 2009 cars will look like?
My understanding is that a lot of the aero package will be missing, this I'm lead to believe is to allow more overtaking and slow down the cars
And, slicks. Yippee!

Ogami Musashi has written a ton of info on this. He has suggested it will look like this (proportions-wise):
Example of 2009 F1 Car
For a very thorough, and well-written descripton of the chagnes by Ogami, go to this thread:
Tech Reg's 2009 Thread
I, personally, find this type of input very valuable and interesting.

You'd do well to search the Autosport gallery for 2008 testing sessions that have taken place.
I'm pretty sure they've ran photos of at least a Ferrari in as close to 2009 spec aero as you're going to get at this stage. Given that no team has yet completed design of their 2009 car you won't find a definitive 2009-look car until winter testing begins.

Well one thing is for sure, the 2009 regs will make the cars so bloody uninteresting Ogami
will have a lot less to write about................no vortices or vortex generation to discuss.....
No critique Ogami... I appreciate your input !!
Now we can at least discuss the use/uselessness of the Honda "dumbo ears" or the
BMW "antlers" .................................next year the BB wil be a hush of tranquility.
Hope the racing gets better though..............otherwise we haven't gained ****.

Lol i'm not quite sure you'll have less aerodynamics to talk about.
The whole bodywork will IMHO very soon become a crucial aerodynamic part.

Interesting feature in the mag this week. I think a few people are starting to get a bit nervous over whether the changes over the next couple of seasons (KERS etc) are going to make any difference.
I didn't even know until I read the article that the KERS system isn't even mandatory!!! Suggestions are already being made that it may be better to not add the extra weight of a KERS system as the gains given from it won't compensate for what you lose due to the added weight.
Suggestions also that if Mosley goes on June 3rd a lot of these changes may not happen at all....

Well maybe for the 2011 season onwards yes but for 2009 and 2010 i don't think it would change.

Might be going the way to looking like some of the sleek cars FW11B posted on his AF1-007 thread.

I think this is pretty much it - and starts to give an idea of the reduced aero features...
