4 races,
4 winners,
3 manufacturers,
2 tires...

could be interesting, my money is on Rossi, if the bridgestones don't suck.... if Lorenzo keeps out-qualifying Rossi (which we all know is an awesome rider), I'm going to guess the bridgestones suck compared to Michelin

I voted Pedrosa, but with every race it looks more and more like Rossi could win it, as he seems to be getting more and more out of the BS tyres with every race that passes as he gets more experience with them.

Stoner doesn't have a chance imo, unfortunately, but he could win the odd race or two when everything clicks. The advantage that Ducati had in top speed has faded but it's still slower in corners then the others.

Lorenzo has done well so far and while I don't think he can win it, he has a better bike then Pedrosa imo, and can steal some points off him, so he can play an important part in the final outcome.

Lorenzo did outscore Rossi 3 races to 1 so far.... and out-qualifying...

I think much of that is due to the Michelin tires.....

so, lets hope bridgestone pick up the pace, otherwise , oh well...

:)

should be great though, 4 winners in 4 races, can't wait for Le Mans

Or maybe Rossi concentraites on the race setup/isn't that good a qualifier ?

I think it's between Rossi and Pedrosa, and it will swing back an forth all year, depending on the tyres.

Lorenzo's had a great start, but he will have an off weekend due to in-experience, and then his injuries may hamper him also. Stoner seems to be struggling a bit, maybe the other manufacturers have caught up with Ducati, and Caseys confidence seems to have taken a knock.

P.S. This thread is about 3 months too early I think :)

I think Pedrosa might do it this season.
Vale will be in it right up to the end.
Jorge will continue to surprise - but wet weather may be his demise.
Ducati will improve but might take a few races and that will cost Stoner.

I think the championship could go down to the wire between all 4.
A few wet races and the championship could change dramatically.

It's funny how fans perception of how the championship will unfold changes after each race though.

After Qatar everyone thought 2007 was going to be repeated.
After Jerez Pedrosa was the talk of the town.
After Estoril Lorenzo was the man
Now after Shanghai it's Rossi's turn to be the favourite.

Makes for a great season. Can't wait for the next round.

I voted Pedrosa for his consistency, but it's very close. Rossi is strong too and steadily increasing his confidence in his bike/tyres combination. Lorenzo was extremely impressive in the first couple races, seemed to me he (or his tyres) was quicker than Rossi, but how he'll handle all these physical problems remains to be seen.

Any of these 3 guys can win it. Stoner needs a big performance improvement for Ducati as soon as possible, otherwise he won't be a factor.
