I suppose the slowest of the series could be called "Monaco" or "Hungaroring".

Maranello. That is a fine name for a chip.

I wonder if Intel, being McLaren sponsors/partners will use the glamerous name "Woking"?

Mmm, no, I didn't think so.

Oh wow, I had no idea that Barcelona referred to racing.

I assumed it referred to the seminal collaboration between Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe. j/k

It's not the most conventional pop album, but it's worth a listen. Especially the title track. You'll hear snippets of what sounds like Bohemian Rhapsody in there.

Too bad AMD is getting killed by Intel these days. Wolfdale, Penryn, Yorkfield--those are the core names that you need to know about if you're a CPU buyer these days.

Nice find, though!

That's pretty interesting. Surely no coincidence.

Citys&stars naming.

Thats codename for core, not branding system. AMD already have horse breeds and beers for their chipsets. ATi named their motherboard chipsets by river fishes. It is long tradition.

I think i had an AMD 'barton' XP3000 or somthing. As far as i know Barton is a little town near the humber bridge in south lincs/north east lincs/ humberside/ east yorkshire, or whatever they are going to call our county this week.

I reckon they didnt name it after that. AMD 'hull' and AMD 'rotherham' dont quite have a good ring to them
