Formula BMW is proud to announce the unveiling of Team Sauber Red Bull Racing for the 2008 season. Piloting the F2008 BMW cars will be drivers Brook Johnston and Matt Jaskel, headed by team manager Mark Spire. After 3 rounds thus far, team driver Brook Johnston leads the series points with a first place finish at both Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Johnston has had a thorough background in racing including 2 International Karting Federation Championships, a World Karting Association Championship, a International Sports Car Championship and a second place season finish the Indy Pro-Am Series with Team Ferrari of North America. Johnston's continued success has earned him the series points lead as well as a testing ride with Red Bull Racing's Scuderia Torro Rosso Formula One Team next season. The teams operations, based in California, will hold several events and practice sessions open to the public to help further promote the team and the Sauber Red Bull operations. Team manager Mark Spire said, " I look forward to the opportunity that BMW Sauber Red Bull has given us for this season and we expect nothing less than to come home with a championship. We have two very young and skilled drivers this season that we look forward to finishing up front with. We are already leading the series points with Brook and Matt is sitting closely in third. We couldn't ask for a better start to the team and the season." Look for more Team Sauber Red Bull Racing news coming soon!!!

Honestly I am starting to suffer from "Red Bull Racing fatigue"... its getting really boring now.... nothing exciting, they only sponsor average drivers (with boring looking helmets) in average cars...(with boring liveries)

Things must be bad if Red Bull feel BB is populated by movers and shakers, opinion makers or dollar spenders. We're all anoraks in here.

I am Dietrich Mateschitz.

And I am very displeased.

Needless to say, we won't be seeing the one you know as 'BMW Sauber RedBull' around here anymore. I have arranged him a test flight on my new Adrian Newey-designed light aircraft. And it will be flying into some particularly dense clouds.
