Team Petronas Fiat driver Facundo Ardusso has won the first round of the 2013 Argentinian Super TC 2000 Championship at Buenos Aires.
The 24-year-old started from third on the grid in the Fiat Linea, but was able to take advantage of an engine problem for pole-sitter Mariano Altuna’s Peugeot and then an uncharacteristic mistake by team-mate José María López to take the lead.
The Peugeot Lo Jack Team 408 of Néstor Girolami went on to finish in second place, crossing the line just 1.8 seconds behind Ardusso after a late race safety car bunched the field up.

Christian Ledesma completed the podium on his debut with the Equipo Honda Petrobras team, with Leonel Pernía the top-placed Renault driver in fourth place.
Mariano Werner worked his way into the top ten to finish seventh, the highest positioned driver at Toyota Team Argentina, whilst Franco Vivian was the best placed Equipo YPF Chevrolet driver in ninth.
Ardusso leaves Buenos Aires with a five point lead in the Championship standings over Girolami, heading to the next round of the series at Rosario on 21st April.

Had a look at this thread and decided to give the the race a watch, very entertaining I must say Though I cant understand Spanish at all, what I saw here gave me a good idea of what was what, and as the race went on I started to simply differentiate the cars by what parts of their bodywork were missing

...But you can watch this races in English language, in Euro Speed TV, every Tuesday after the race.,
And in Italian language (if you live in Italy), show a good brief, in Sky
Until 2011, the UK Motor Channel aired our races, delayed, at 22 pm ..

Toyota Team Argentina driver Matías Rossi was fastest in qualifying for the second round of the Argentinian Super TC 2000 Championship at the Autódromo Juan Manuel Fangio, and will face reigning champion José María López’s Fiat in the Super 8 grid deciding heats tomorrow.
Rossi was safely through the first qualifying segment setting the eighth fastest time in his Toyota Corolla, then went faster still in Q2, setting the fastest time of all with a time of 59.865. In Q3, Rossi was the only driver to produce a time under the 1m barrier, and snatched pole position with a time of 59.736.

Franco Vivian was the top Chevrolet driver in seventh, with the Toyota or Bernardo Llaver eighth, all within half a second of Rossi’s time.
Just missing out on the Q3 cut off was Honda’s Ricardo Risatti, who will start in 11th place on the grid tomorrow, with team-mate Christian Ledesma in 13th.
The Super 8 heats which will determine the final grid order for the top eight cars takes place at 9:50am local time tomorrow, with the race at 13:00.

Matías Rossi won the second round of the 2013 Argentinian Super TC 2000 Championship at Rosario, leading from start to finish in his Toyota ahead of José María López’s Fiat and Toyota team-mate Mariano Werner.
After winning the Super 8 qualifying heat in the morning, Rossi started from pole position ahead of López, with Mariano Werner leading off row two ahead of Championship leader Facundo Ardusso’s Fiat.
All four held station at the start, whilst there was an early safety car brought out before the end of lap one after Ignacio Julián’s Escuderia FE Volkswagen Vento crashed out after clipping Agustín Calamari’s Toyota.
After the restart, Bernardo Llaver was making progress in the third highest placed of Toyota Team Argentina’s drivers, passing Fabian Yannantuoni’s Renault for sixth place on lap nine and was promoted to fifth when Néstor Girolami’s Peugeot Lo Jack Team 408 slowed out of fifth place and was forced to retire.
