Hi guys,
I'm looking for every kind of info about Alfred Dattner.
He was a racing driver and then an F.1 team owner.
Max De Terra, for example, raced his Simca Gordini in Suisse GP 1952.
I red he was british, then, I red he was from Switzerland.
Don't know anything about his born and death dates nor the places.
Obviously I ignore also his story.
Could somebody help me?

Dave

Dattner and de Terra both were Swiss. Dattner was based at Zürich and had been sports car driver until 1948 when he changed for a Simca Gordini in 1949. In the Swiss magzine "Automobil Revue" for his drive at the Swiss GP of 1949 they stated, that he "excelled by reliability rather than by speed".

Unfortunately I don´t have the dates of birth and death for him.

Hi, anybody know when and where Dattner was born?
Some sources report that he died in Switzerland (even if a source reports that he was british). Do anybody know, once again, where and when?

Davide

While the thread is open, I'd like to ask about Max De Terra...

Steve Small's GP Who's Who reports that De Terra drove in minor hillclimbs and drove in a number of races in Switzerland.

Does anyone have any race results for him, other than the handful of Grand Prix he competed in? Especially post 1953, where I can find nothing about him at all...
