The only thing that surprises me in this poll is Hamilton not having more fans.

I think it's the James Allen factor.

in this case, i disagree: what i mean is that i reckon this poll reflects the thinking of those who try to take the car out of the equation.

I think it's the other way round. Kimi is popular with the teenagers, those who "don't know what an anti roll bar or damper is", because he is cool, don't talk, handsome etc. Then Lewis Hamilton fans are mostly people who knows more about racing, and don't care for their boy's personal life, just on-track actions. Even if he doesn't have the same great season as he had last year before China, Hamilton set a new standard for F1, and that's what his fans care for.

hmm, lewis is similer to schumi, in car, that same feeling that something is gonna happen, kinda like you get with haga/baylis/rossi/platter, apart from lewis delivers less, but thats cos hes in f1, rather than a 200mph 2 wheel rocket :)
