The June 2008 issue of Motor Sport had an intriguing article about Harry " the Lurker" Monks who, to quote the article "inveigled himself onto the front row of any and every major league motor race run in Britain". The caption on the accompanying magazine photo says that Harry can be seen in many a sport photo from the 60's and 70's, even managing to accompany Jimmy Clark at the Silverstone GP on his lap of honour with the winning Lotus 33 on the back of a farm trailer. Harrys seen standing next to Jimmy, waving to the crowd.
Did anyone record the moment and just how many photos did Harry manage to get into?

Did a search BB search but nothing under Harry Monks came up.
Is he a Monks or a Marks? Hopefully the latter other wise his parents inflicted him with a most unfortunate name.
For a man who inveigled his way into photos there's not a lot of him. If in deed he was on the back of a trailer with Clark on the victory lap you would think there would be many.
Perhaps the two threads could be merged.
