Kevin & Nigel appeared regularly in Aurora entry lists, but I can find little about them (Kevin seemed to be a serial non appearer) can anyone fill in some details?

Phil, didn't Nigel Clarkson have some links to 'minor' Royalty. He occasionally entered a March 742 in G8/Libre/AFX didn't he.

I stumbled across a snap of Kevin Bowditch the other day – in an Atlantic Lyncar, I think. I also have memories of Nigel Clarkson competing in the Escort Challenge at some stage.

I will search the IKEA tin that recently replaced a cardboard box as my photographic repository.

Yeah, Simon, he used the ex-John Nic Lyncar 005 in 1977-78, albeit very sporadically. Was he Northwestern based?

I went to the same school as Nigel Clarkson, although he was a bit older! He did some races or rallies with I think the Duke of Kent as co-driver or vice versa. I also saw him do one of the Spa 24 hour races (1972 I expect) in a Capri (Group 1 version).

Nigel Clarkson co-drove Prince Michael of Kent in a Gp1 Escort Mexico on some major rallies - RAC, Tour of Britain? early to mid 70s.

I felt sure I had some cockpit shots of Clarkson N sitting in the assembly area, but they are harder to find than a focused Kimi Raïkkönen. Here, however, is Kevin Bowditch in Lyncar 005...

This is from Oulton Park in July '77. He isn't listed on the results or qualifying sheets at Old Racing Cars or silhouet.com/motorsport, but he clearly ran (at least in practice) and my programme suggests he shared the back row with Dennis Leech.

In the absence of Mr Clarkson, here are one or two more lesser lights from the same a) venue and b) era...

Bernard de Dryver's March 752 (although that looks like a 762 body), snapped in September '76.

A not-even-slightly sharp pic of Adrian Russell's March 762 (according the the programme, but the nose looks older) from June 1978.

Last and, in all probability, least, Ken Brill's Chevron B34, which didn't start the British F1/2 race at Oulton in April 1979 because he stuffed it at Deer Leap - a photo I posted several eons ago.

I knew I wasn't going wholly mad... Here's a fuzzy snap of Nige preparing not to qualify his March 762 at Oulton in March '78. Nice flares in the background.

In response to Dan's earlier question about Kevin Bowditch's provenance, incidentally, the programme lists his home town as Maidenhead.

IIRC Bowditch often didnt have the full 2 litres, I recall seeing it listed as an 1850, possibly ex Rally car with wet sump.

Any connection to former race photographer Les Bowditch (now in retirement in Spain) who's photo of Biela's Audi flying at Dingle Dell was widely used in national newspaper adverts in the mid 90's ?
