This appeared in the Obit column of the Vancouver Sun newspaper today-no, I don't read the obits it was emailed to me! What is the car? It is described in the text as a "rather dilapidated Austin with huge V8 engine". It appears to have disc wheels on the rear which might indicate a complete drive train replacement. But, what is the car? It doesn't look like an Austin and it ain't an Aston so what?

When I click on the graphic all I get is imageshack's homepage. Do you have a larger photo you could post?

You can see the original version of Anthony St. V. "P-J" Parker-Jervis's obituary here. The picture still isn't that clear. An A40?

My maths teacher at prep school drove a bubble car :)

Just previewed this - David, you beat me to it

A V8 on an Austin A40 chassis?

Just what happened to the shock absorbers in that thing then?

I would expect it made for interesting handling.
