I often surf the web for pictures of cars to draw (of course seeking permission). I came across this this gentleman on Marrowstone Island, USA who has been acquiring cars for over 50 years and, and it appears that he has been building his house around them. The “centrepiece” of the collection is a Bugatti… in his living room.

Does he intend to restore any of them?

Don't know if he built his house around them - it looks a bit more like he moved into the garage!

Definately single!

A few reps in there I'm sure, but still - quite a collection!

Well I am but...
Several of the cars are obviously replicas: The GT40, The Xj13, The XKSS, the 550 Porsche is a bit questionable isn't it? The red roadster is one of those "1750 Alfa Romeos" from the 1970s. The small red/black coupe is nice, a Fiat 8V?

either a J2 or J2X

I beleive the biggest clue is the length of the nose, a J2X being longer, but I can't tell from the photo - sort of thing you need to see the 2 together to tell the difference

I must confess I'd never heard of Marrowstone Island; turns out it's W of Seattle, Washington.

Good thing his collection is indoors; anything left outside in Seattle weather would be subject to infestation by the dreaded tinworm.

Don't know about the seven - who would fit a wooden top to the luggage area and twin spares on a seven??? but in photo 4, in front of the XKSS, I can't make out what the car with the twin roll hoops is, but it looks like it's parked next to a LHD Lotus XI

From what I read, he's got several Jaguars, including one of each XK (120, 140, 150), a C-type (replica), an E-type, an XKSS (replica), and what must be a replica since there was only ever one real; a XJ-13. He also has several Alfas, an MG, a Frazer-Nash, a Lister , GT40 (replica), a (real) 300sl, an Allard, a couple of Porsches (356 & 550 Spyder, likely to be a replica), a Lotus 7, and of course that Bugatti (type ?) in the living room. I stumbled across the car in pic7 on Supercars.net, it look like its an Abarth 205a Vignale Berlinetta.

Every boys dream!

Not quite, there's nothing you'd be happy about leaving in a Tesco car park.

Could be a Tecla (35A), perhaps?

eef, is this webpage where you got the photos from? It tells more about the cars:

http://chuck.goolsbe...-motorcar-rally

Apparently, the fellow's name is Ted Buckland. Yes, David, we shall have to check this out!

In the first pic of the car that looks like a GT40, is it possibly a Lamborghini Miura?
