Tom Rooney

In my current clarification search of Indy drivers, Tom Rooney comes up.

I have him down as being an engineer for Maxwell, a riding mechanic for Stutz & he was later a race promoter & official.

He apparently died in 1939, and at the moment I have him born as 30 Nov 1881, in Wolburn, Massachusetts, but residing in Indianapolis (hence the reason the above TR has been chosen).

However I have also seen him coming from Philadelphia (mostly), Chicago & New York.

Can anyone fill me in a bit more - after all, he was a pretty big name in the sport in his time in terms of whether I have the right man but have run the course of finding out much more about him or whether the "real" Thomas Rooney is actually someone else alltogether?
