Looking for an objective review of the book. Of course sounds like it's right up my alley. But I think it must be fairly new. Should I add it to my christmas wish list?

Thanks, Chuck

If you happen to know Parkers 2 books on F1 in camera , dont hesitate. If you are interested in S/P/GT of this period dont hesitate. Over 250 pages , all colour pictures and good captions ,pictures, pictures ,pictures. A fine selection of what went on , a great bit of everything. As the F1 books , a superb companion!
Just get it!

It is really excellent, as is the sequel 1970-79. Get them both, you will be pleased you did!

I think Tony is a little wide of the mark! ):

They are fantastic  and if you don't get both you are really missing out on two wonderful books about the best decades of sports car racing!

Unfortunately I am not on commission as I have been recommending them for some time now!

These books are in my opinion a great addition to the each motor racing book shelf/library. Of course it is also special to buy books from fellow members of TNF.

Did I hear a rumour 'our' Paul will make a part 2 for each decade?

This is a very worthwhile book.
Following my purchase a while ago I got the later book...1970-79
This I showed it to a few chums that featured in it and bought five more on their behalf.

The FI In Camera books by Paul are equally rewarding.
In fact the photograph ( by Rainer Schlegelmilch) reproduction in the F1 1970-79 is as good as you get.

My twopennyworth !

Go buy..........

Yeah Chuck, this really is nicely done. Parker breaks down the decade by year, and includes most of the cars you expect to see, and some surprises. He also has shots of spectators and impromptu driver's meetings, so you get a nice feel for what attending the races must have been like. At the end of each chapter he attaches an appendix of sorts listing which drivers raced for which teams. If you haven't been convinced already, go ahead and get it.

To echo the others, Chuck, Yes, put it on your list. I have very much enjoyed Paul's books (....and I hope I remembered to tell him that when we met in May) and recommend them.

In my opinion, this series is THE best value out there when it comes to motor sport related books!
