'Racing Mechanic' - Ermanno Cuoghi (Jeremy Walton)

In case anyone is interested, I have some motorsport books and similar items on eBay for the next just under 48 hours.

A very rare book included with my current listings is the one named Racing Mechanic by Jeremy Walton about the 'adventures' of the respected Ferrari mechanic, Ermanno Cuoghi. Please note carefully the condition description in the listing and also have a look at my other items up for auction.

"The respected Ferrari mechanic", not by Mauro Forghieri I would suspect. Excellent book.

Was there not a thread on the best and worst racing books or was it films?

I would imagine that, after all these years, there's probably one on both!!

However, I posted this here as it relates to items presently on eBay.

Apologies for my double stupidity regarding this one!!

I've amended my post to include the eBay item number. Again, it is 330290674020. Thanks for pointing this out.

Also, I meant to post this to the for sale and wanted section, but in replying to your message I now see that I suffered brain fade in that regard at an apparently critical moment.

Oh well, the best part in all this is that I got to experience making an a#se of myself to many people right across the world, whereas most only get to do this in front of a much smaller audience!!

Were you just being helpful or are you suggesting that the Cuoghi book should be included among the worst? Surely not! I read it for the first time this year and thoroughly enjoyed it, particularly those pre-Lauda periods of which I knew little, from EC's early days in Italy, Shelby, JW through to the Ferrari 312P campaigns. Good book.
...but I would say that as I'm selling one too! (Along with many others on Amazon.... winfield_books ..... end of plug!)

What a nice surprise! I had no idea you were Nathan Beehl. That Ferrari 'P' Series book is terrific - my brother and I both have copies and drool over the contents. Fancy you not realising it was worth £16.....really, you're too modest. It's a snip!

I like the look of that Sapphire series very much. I have the Porsche 908 profile (lots of good things in there) and remain impressed that Steve Archibald managed to produce a well-researched book while playing up front for Tottenham...... I can't remember ever seeing #1 and #2, the GT40 and the Porsche 935; are they good?

In fact, he says while aiming a revolver at his own foot, Steve offers good value on ebay, both for his own Porsche book and (occasionally) for your Ferrari work. I wonder if he, Steve, lurks around these parts.

While I'm embarassing you in front of a worldwide audience, your Kimberley 512 book was a good read too. I wonder, if Ferrari had invested in quality wiper blades, whether Ickx would have given Pedro a run for his money at Brands in 1970!

Nathan, your 'Ferrari P Series' booklet I always found to have the highest quality content with the least shelf space. Still refer to it often.
