Suggestion for new race weekend format

Perhaps F1 needs a change. Or maybe the weekend just needs to reflect what is actually happening. What does everyone think about an F1 schedule that looks a little like this:

Day 1 -- Pre-trial preliminaries, previously known as "qualifying"
Day 2 -- On-the-ground evidence gathering at the crime scene, previously known as "the race"
Day 3/4 -- Engineers and lawyers prepare case
Day 5 -- First legal hearing and initial verdict
Day 6 -- Appeal
Day 7 -- Results decided and trophies awarded (at the next GP weekend)

Thoughts? Suggested changes?

Can we not have a section where forum posters and random polls could be taken into account? Perhaps online petitions too (because they always work)?

Personally I think it needs to involve the fans more. Maybe after qualifying the rulebook could be wiped and fans could just make up random rules that will applied on Sunday for the race, after which appeals and protests will follow to decide a finishing order. Whoever interpreted the rules best spotting loopholes and the like, wins.

Okay, I think involving the fans is crucial so:

Day 1 -- Pre-trial preliminaries, previously known as "qualifying"
Day 2 -- On-the-ground evidence gathering at the crime scene, previously known as "the race"
Day 3/4 -- Engineers and lawyers prepare case
Day 5 -- First legal hearing and initial verdict
Day 6 -- Appeal
Day 7 -- Trial by internet
Day 8 -- Results decided on the basis of what the fans didn't want and trophies awarded (at the next GP weekend)

Hmmm, I think we're getting somewhere. I still I think it's a little too open and shut like that. Maybe 10 years later when everyone's views on what happened and how it happened have been vastly distorted the results should be reopened for a final time on internet forums. For example, I do not remember Schumacher and Villeneuve's collision being anything other than Villeneuves fault, he came flying through hopping the kerb from a good few car lengths back. This factual evidence would be taken into account and the results would be adjusted accordingly.

I think it's important too to take into account how good the fans think their driver is and this should go towards his result. Right now Formula 1 doesn't really cater for the F1 troll.

Villeneuve was certainly weaving dangerously before the collision with the eight time WDC.

The World Drivers Championship, should also be renamed the Drivers Personality & General Likability Championship. Whereby the drivers are judged by how they handle the press, and their nationality.

Reality should also be substituted for repetition of what the masses are saying. That McLaren lodged the appeal is just SO much more enthralling than reality.

Haha yes, I had forgotten that but I definitely remember that happening now. Schumacher went onto win 12 titles though, just a shame he was so cruelly robbed of the others.
