One is concerned about safety, the other making some mating gestures to his feathered friends?

Clearly that McLaren mechanic brought the sport into disrepute by that dreadful, tasteless, no-fun-at-all attempt at making fun of Webbo!

I like it, but this thread has 25 pages then locked written all over it.

Is there not space in Formula One for a bit of piss-taking?
Webber appears to have a sense of humour, I'm sure he'd find it funny.
The hand-wringing at anything to do with McLaren here is unbearable.

I did love the mclaren pit crew taking the piss out of the ferrari pit crew like.
But being biased, We can't have them taking the piss out of Webber. Cut his balls off.

Ron Dennis has just issued an official statement on behalf of Mac, and it has the following key sentence:
This was not a chicken dance making fun of Webber as some have alleged, it was a chicken dance to drive the rain away and bring the sun back.

Lewis Hamilton: "[Webber] came over to explain that to me and we both talked about the conditions - at that moment, we both agree there was too much standing water to continue."

next announcement will be in defence of the mechanic who just reacted as he did due to chicken fever

Well, I have seen the whole video, and with a friend who reads lips. That was not what was said. The conversation was like this:
Lewis: "I never should have let Trulli pass me"
Webber: "No worries mate, just tell those stupid stewards that you did not conciously or deliberately let Trulli pass you"
(unfortunately we can not tell exactly how the conversation finished as I think Webber said "you will be fine" but the translator says "You will be fined", so i dunno)

I think the stewards should investigate if he CONSCIOUSLY agreed that there was too much water...
Obviously the body language says McLaren didn't, and he's their employee, so there's something going on here...
Either way, the FIA and WMSC are gonna have the last laugh...

It's a Funny vid. Someone from the press should ask Whitmarsh about it...almost put money on him unintentionally making it worse by trying to play it down.

Take an example least year, Kimi pushes a photographer over and a little kid over, the reaction ew, its just kimi, they had it coming.
Here a mechanic waves his arms and its disgusting classes behaviour and they should be punished.

I have noticed that. If that was Kimi mechanic this board would be full of ...oh what a laugh!. And infact what a laugh it is! However, some people are so serious that they have to see a doctor even when they pass some wind....that is the way of the world for them. Mclaren is the devil...so shoot first and ask questions later.

But then you've just highlighted out a good thing about this thread and many others, it doesn't matter what he was doing, what he heard, what he didn't hear, what he could hear, what he knew or didn't know, all that matters is what the lynch squad has decided what he knew and was doing.
