Today is the birthday of one our fellow TFNers, Tony Adamowicz. I know Tony would appreciate some best wishes for reaching year 68. While he hasn't contributed to the Forum as much as we would like, I am trying to change that since he has an excellent recall of the days we all love to hear about.

This weekend Tony is at The Mitty, held annually at Road Atlanta. He is participating the Group 44 Reunion. I hope to have some photos to post next week. Check out Tony's career on his great site at http://a2zracer.com

Happy Birthday Tony, looking forward to seeing you in your Eagle Mk 5 at the 2009 Formula 5000 events. I hear you have already started to kick some butt this year.

Happy Birthday Tony:

Buford: Tony is a true ambassador of the F-5000 series. As we know he is a past Champion and is enjoying himself very much racing the F-5000 Eagle of Doug Magnon, prepared by Bill Losee.

Thank You All for the kind complements and birthday wishes, I don't get on the bulletin Board often, however Jerry is doing an excellent job bringing the news to you all.
I guess the secret is out on age, with my recent birthday ...oh well, it is what it is. I was able to enjoy my birthday while in Road Atlanta for the recent Walter Mitty, vintage weekend , Group 44 inc reunion, honoring my ole boss Bob Tullius. Without Bob and Group 44, I would never of had the opportunity to go professional. He set the standard for me to follow as a racer and motorsport spokes person. This will be my 40th anniversary in my ole 1969 Continental Championship F 5000 Gurney Eagle, now owned by Doug Magnon of the Riverside International Automotive Museum. Master mechanic Bill Losee has done a marvelous job restoring the Gurney Eagle and we recently won at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. I am honored to be reunited with this Eagle and thanks to my late friend Peter Bryant, (Can Am Challenger fame) and his expertise, we embark on winning the championship 40 years later. Cheers !
