This is a poor photograph but of a pretty rare racing car - the Burano Grand Prix car, which DSJ labelled in his "The Racing Car Pocket Book" as being notorious. Was this fair comment?

In this poor photo of the engine of a Burano the exhaust pipes seem odd. Is this usual?

In this second (and also poor) photo of the Burano exhaust pipes, they appear to be quite different to those in the preceeding Burano photo. Any thoughts on this?

Twinny, could you please merge the recent Burano threads as there's no need for three (four including errors) separate threads.

I second that! I was somewhat annoyed to find a NEW thread about Burano EXHAUSTS when the original Burano thread just a few days ago would've been a perfect place, but TWO threads about Burano exhausts is simply ridiculous!Twinny, could you please merge the recent Burano threads as there's no need for three (four including errors) separate threads.

In his Book DSJ writes that the Burano was a Maserati converted by Enrico Platé for the MOVIE Those Men are Dangerous...
That may be the reason why famous men like Alberto Ascari or Juan Manuel Fangio..... never won a Grand Prix with it???
