Clever, although I'm not sure they got McQueen's voice right.

Right about watching LeMans again :)

Very clever, but I agree, the McQueen voice sounds like Eddie Jordan trying to do a poor impression.

What's a viral ad?

An ad placed on the internet, eg via youtube. People pass on the link as done here!

The best description I saw of the "Le Mans" movie was "motor racing porn" i.e. no story line but all action ;)

Which is the very reason why, like many a porn movie, it's so damn good.

Why bother with content, when slippery, sliding and explosive action is what we want?

I was expecting to see some of their rather bling watches, were they left out of the ad so that young Lewis wasn't acted off the set?

McQueen and Hamilton are a universe apart.

One is rough-hewn, charismatic, attractive and mysterious, while the other is no more than a squeaky clean, corporate automaton with all the charm of a dead mullet.

You obviously don't know him.

...and the latter can also be described as a mutant between a priest and Pinocchio.

I found it hard to form any significant opinion on Hamilton, what with being brought through the manufactured process of the corporate ranks of McLaren, having one of the best cars out there, and having an inordinate amount of not just skill, but luck....now, this season, without the best car out there, his in-car footage, from Melbourne onwards, has revealed that the bloke can drive like few others, and is brave as hell ! Hats off, Lewis.

Actually, Steve would have liked it. And would have done the overdub himself.

LeMans is on tonight at 10:30 EST on HDNet Movie channel, part of the Verizon HD digital package that I subscribe to. Thought it may be of interest to you and the others.

I can still vividly recall how disgusting that stuff tasted, after at least 50 years. :well:
