I can vouch for that 'cos I was there watching! Great stuff indeed and I was surprised at their speed, despite a heavy crosswind (and some heavy riders ). For out and out fun on a motorcycle, it would take some beating !

Nice find Russel. Didn't know that Mike spoke fairly decent french . Funny how he answers on two occasions that he's too lazy to do a "proper" job and that is why he keeps racing ( at the ripe age of 26....) despite having won them all and lost quite a few friends .
Ah, thanks, Philippe, I was thinking of asking you to translate. Yes, that self deprecating thing that the Brits like to do. French GP: Redman all knees (wonder why); Provini almost on the tank through the corners - lovely to watch.

Was he recalling his time with Triumph at Meriden as some kind of dogsbody, which was certainly another blow after his Pangbourne period?

Good stuff, Renn. Might have been closer if Minter's motor was pulling properly; think Graham Walker said Bob Mac was overgeared too. All those lovely Manxes....

BUT if you work your way down the clips on the right of the page, there's plenty to giggle about for fourstroke fans as well...

NB : the player wanted me to "download a new version of my adobe flash player" so I chose to "revert to the old NFB player" and that worked just fine....full screen and all....

Thanks, Philippe. Or if that doesn't work, it's on YouTube. I think it's been up before, or perhaps I saw it on YouTube. A strangely downbeat film or what? :Sorry, I haven't followed every post on this thread, but have we mentioned this ?
