Has anyone any idea of the colour of the Clive Lones Brooklands Morgan?
It may be unpainted natural aluminium or maybe yellow?

I have a number of pre war Brooklands programmes and these give the colour(s) of the competing cars. Sadly I don't have one with Clive Lones.

I knew the restored car was red, it's actually in the Brooklands Museum.
I have today found this period picture of the car which seems to show it painted, maybe red?, and with the cowl that the restored car has.

yes indeed, it's red! It has been almost permantently on load at Brooklands for a good few years now.

Ooops David, glad you noticed my deliberate mistake! But did Lones not eventually put a two wheeled rear axle on a Morgan to race at Brooklands and this became the Tiger Kitten postwar?

He had a Tiger Kitten sprint car in the 1930s - maybe that was a four-wheelised Morgan

The post war cars (Tiger Kitten, then an Iota P1, and several Coopers) were all painted vivd red.
Tiger Kitten I (1946) was based on an Austin 7 Ulster chassis with (I believe) a Morgan-style front end. In the first year I believe it was the same car running a JAP Twin that was named Tiger Cat, rather than the pre-War coming out again.

Thanks for all the help on this.
I finally finished the car in red as the #4C car posted earlier.
I managed to win the 1st place concours trophy at the recent Brooklands slot car event with the car
I now want to build the four wheel version of this car 'Tiger Cat' has anyone any good pictures of this?

Here is a picture I took of Clive Lone's Morgan at a classic car show at Hatfield House in 1996. It shows a number of detailed differences from the model such as the number, the brown box on the cockpit side and the black exhaust tailpipe. However I can't be sure if these were present in period.
Incidentally I have no idea who the people in the photograph are. When I viewed the car it was unattended unfortunately as I would have liked to ask a lot of questions about it.
This is the first time I have tried to upload a photo to this forum and my computer skills are basic so apologies if there are any problems viewing it.
