The press conference will be hosted by Dr. Norbert Reithofer, the chairman of the BMW board, Dr. Klaus Draeger, the director for development, and Dr. Mario Theissen, BMW motorsport director.

If so do their meetings look like THIS?

You asking about those from video? Dunno, I just looked for closer example of all doctors meeting. Though judging on their decisions some of them may belong to BMW.

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with anything related to medicine but with the fact they've all received a doctoral degree from their university.

Germany gives engineers far more respect than anywhere else. The phrase Dr for a PHD qualified engineer is simply a matter of respect.

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with anything related to medicine but with the fact they've all received a doctoral degree from their university.

They all probably have a doctorate (i.e. PHD) in science so are entitled to place Dr before their name. You will probably find that most top engineers all have doctorate's but it's just not common in most countries for an engineer to place Dr before their names.
