Wouldn't be surprised if it had something Massa-related - a "Get well Felipe" message or something like that.

There's more white than red, and the sponsor logos are different.

There's more white than red, and the sponsor logos are different.

that is because there is no Vodafone now thats why the sponsor logo looks different

and then you can also notice in 2007 Kimi's helmet looked alot white when he used the non tobacco helmet compared to the full Marlboro one

Plus the color of Ferrari is a darker shade compared to the 2006 cars

all this make it look differnent ....effectively its his same helmet with the Barcodes MINUS vodoafone logo

No - Red baron was about 20 years earlier than the nazis anyway.

If we could get Schumi as the Red Baron - I reckon we could cast Jenson as Biggles... :rotfl:

And that's not a swastika FFS, it's 20 years earlier than the Nazi party's entry to history. It is in fact an Iron cross

It's still used on German military planes. Like here.

I think it's simply the insignia of the German military, regardless of politics.

We can't help it if people have a distorted view of history.

He'll be wearing a Schuberth RF1, the same as the one Massa was wearing when he was hit last Saturday.

Schumacher wore an Arai in 1991. In 1992 he switched to a Shoei X4 before switching to Bell from 1993 to 2001 the he moved on to Schuberth.

His design evolved in the late 90s to incorporate more and more red until we were left with his current lid.

A shame really, I much prefered the white helmet with the German flag down the side.

I thought it was simple, uncluttered and individual.

Exactly, it’s a german war insignia, first used by the teutonic knights, a german catholic order in the middle ages and it’s even still used today by the german army.

You can't seriously be suggesting Schumacher has a Nazi symbol on his helmet...

Which country are you from?

I think, he refers to the picture of the “red baron”. Still he confuses a iron cross with a maltase cross (both no nazi symbols) .

Most of the colours which appear red on TV are actually dayglo orange in real life.

Certainly true of the Marlboro colours from back in the day, and the red on the McLarens.

Oh lord ... the cross is the isignia for the German Airforce, and is still used. All military aircraft carry insignia to make it identifiable in the air, for example this is the RAF insignia

Posted Image

this is the US insignia

Posted Image

and this is the german insignia

I think it will be the Red helmet.. however I prefer the German racing colour white with flag colours.

Hope its white but it will most likely be red. If he wore a moral/tribute for Felipe that would be class.

It's a completely different brand and model.

This is his "latest" F1 helmet from Schubert.

(Hmm ... actually, it's just a scale model I think, and besides ... I should really read the entire topic before posting) :p
