can anyone help with a report of this event and/or a copy of original programme and better still photos of the J F Vernon entry.
I do have a very poor pic of Vernon's SS100 and a reasonable pic of Pycroft SS100 at what I believe is this event.
I am very interested in obtaining copies of race or rally reports of European Hillclimbs and rallies up to 1960 which included SS100's and there were a few specifically Switzerland where there were several hillclimbs inc SS100's.
Also can anyone point us in the dirction of a more complete biography of Paul Pycroft I believe he worked for a year or so prewar in Switzerland for Nestle?

Google throws up this:

http://wc.rootsweb.a...g...2&id=I01617

I'm assuming it's the same man, as it mentions a motor racing involvement (with info gleaned from Darren's site). If so, it would seem that the 'Graddock' listed as Pycroft's co-driver could really be another of Pycroft's middle names.

Paul Pycroft's full name was Paul de Ferranti Craddock Pycroft
His mother was a member of the de Ferranti family of electronics company fame, hence his second name

He was born on 5th September 1913 in Hendon and died in April 2000 in North Wales.

Does anyone have anything further info on "Paul de Ferranti Craddock Pycroft" racing career I believe in the 1980's he did own a Honda NSX so he was obviously a car enthusiat all his life.
Of more interest is to try to get more on J.F.Vernon SS100 Jaguar if anyone can shed light on who he was or has a photo of his car or reports on the event Criterium Paris-Nice 10-13 April 1939 from european motoring magazines.
I am also chasing any information on SS100's competing prewar in Europe
regards terry
