I managed to download it (1.5 gig) and convert it on to DVD in less than 5 hours. :smoking:

Somethings that crossed my mind:

1. 4 stops! :cat:

2. Barrychello taking 3rd place from Trulli

3. Sato killing Honda engines

4. No Magny Cours this year

5. Renault had the best livery of the season :D

6. Alonso's eyebrows have always been massive

7. How I miss James Allen.

8. jean Todt's wooly Ferrari jumpers

What do you remember/miss from that race?

Ah yes the good old 4 stopper. Something we will never see again, due to the new regulations. Even as a McLaren fan I have to admit that was a quite amazing performance.

The thing with the 4-stopper is that they didn't actually need it, they did it for fun because they had a massive lead in the Championship.

It has entered the story books as "the day Schumacher could win thanks to a 4-stop strategy" but it isn't true. When Schumacher took the lead after Alonso's second stop, he already had a nice lead of 3 seconds or so over Alonso, so he would have still led if he had stayed in a 3-stopper.

The Ferrari was just way quicker on the long runs, it was the one lap performance of the Michelin tyres what gave Alonso pole. But it was nice stuff anyway.

Go back just 2 years to 2002 and Magny Cours was where Schuey wrapped up the WDC!

Ferrari were so dominant in this period. Poor old Jarno got caught napping in the final corner & I reckon that was the beginning of the end for him at Renault.

nope, watch it again
he was leading by that much ONLY coz he was short fueled when he came 2 laps before Aonso and was able to go faster and faster as he switched to 4 stopper [lighter car and fresh tyres].....thats why he came out so far ahead
if he was on 3 stopper he had to pit 2 laps before Alonso was never gonna overtake him in the pits
and Alonso was faster that weekend, his car and tyres were perfect for that quly and race aswell
his laptimes were faster or equal to MS in the first stint were both had equal fuel
