I recently got this 1/43 MG model of the 166SC 008I raced by Sommer at Pescara 1948.

I have noted that the forward wings are different from the 008I configuration of 1948 Napoli GP (Sommer) and Vermicino -Rocca di Papa hillclimb (Vallone).
Unfortunately on the only pic I have (found on Millanta's book) the forward wings are covered by sun shadow.

It seems the coachwork of the very early Ferraris was changed every hour, on the hour :(

I know it, but anyway I am quite sure that the model kit configuration is not the one that can be seen on the pic I have.
