I hope Twinny won't mind, if not, obviously, he's free to delete this thread.
Some of my videos are featured over at Mecanix tv. They are all here under the British Cars tag (although why they have put the Brooklands motorcycle in there, I've no idea) : http://www.mecanix-t...itish-cars.html

They are : the Amilcar Rallye in France, a Frogeye Sprite, an excerpt from the Jim Clark Film Festival, Lot 54 (you can find out what that is when you view it!) and the 1908 NLG bike at Brooklands Museum.

Hope you enjoy them

Many thanks Gary.

The Frogeye belongs to Matt, a mate of mine. I didn't even know that he'd made that video. I think some ribbing is in order.

The Monpazier film is good as you don't often get to see footage of the "Backing-In World Championships".

The Amilcar film is lovely, Gary, it captures a nice relaxed atmosphere - I assume that's the one you mentioned when we were at Brooklands at the beginning at the year. You'd led me to believe it was a rather less 'polished' piece than that; Im sure those guys were delighted when they saw it.

Btw - did you make any progress in the pursuit of that truck at Brooklands?

Tony, through my contacts at the Museum, I aksed if I could buy that truck, but have not heard a thing since. That must have been at least 8-9 months ago.

We don't use the term 'shot around the corner from me' in this country anymore Gary, it's all a bit near the mark !

Great stuff though, I bet there's lots more where that came from ?

Lovely stuff, Gary.

The Amilcar Rally film is typical of the events that only the French know how to organise - helped, in no small part, by their wonderful geography and towns that still welcome old cars with open arms. Lovely to see that the authorities still don't bother about niceities such as fitting mudguards to Bugattis on the open road. I could almost smell the coffee and cognac.

If you've got a decent set of speakers on your pc, the Amilcar piece has excellent sound quality.

Yes, Tony, the Amilcar video is the one I produced for the Amilcar Club in France. There is an updated version (using material from a second camera) that I will be releasing in 'Yesterday's Racers' volume 4, which should be available in about 4 weeks time.

According to Matt, probably not. I'm a bit more involved with historic racing in general, rather than Sprites and Midgets specifically.
