Can anyone confirm which two A20 chassis were converted to the three-seater AX3?
01 and 02?
In the Arrows auction they were sold as chassis 01 and 02,
Were they originally designated A20/01 and A20/02, or other were they A20 chassis renumbered AX3/01 and AX3/02?

Can you saw up a single seater monocoque and modify it to be a two seater? It needs to go back into the autoclave again.......Can anyone confirm which two A20 chassis were converted to the three-seater AX3?
01 and 02?

I think I'll go for new monocoques AX3/01 and /02, and assume that the writers meant that the "conversions" were re-use
of suspension components etc. etc.

The press released called the chassis 'an adapted A20' chassis...so I would assume the they were just that.
In the three seater you are more or lesss sitting in the sidepods, so maybe the need for saws weren't necessary?

I think that refers to the design being adapted, not a physical model.

If they were newly built monocoques, then why choose a '99 design?
They might as well based it on the then current '01 or '00 design?
Maybe someone knows how many cars are accounted for.

The three seaters were converted A19/20s (the A20s were converted A19s) all but one chassis (A19) was chopped about to make them in to 3 seaters. They were made longer and the 2 passenger cockpits were a spaceframe type set up attatched to the tub, they currently reside at the Ascari Resort Ronda Spain.
