Changed username

Hi all;
rainern is now Rainer Nyberg.
So I guess I will go back to junior status again for a while....

This could be the continuation of a trend here on the Nostalgia Forum....;)

I never understood the concept of people hiding behind usernames anyway. Does anybody know?

Well in my case I wanted to use the same userID as I used for hotmail....so I could use the same password...
My life is all usernames and passwords...
Three different for the ISP. One for hotmail. One for the internet-bank. One for the ATM-card. And then the gasoline-cards etc etc etc....
Three different usernames at work....three different passwords and they need constant updating...
So I thought I´d like to have just one less of them...

Plus I believe some of us have "connections" that might make it difficult to post with real names. For myself, I just don't want my name to return results on a search at Google.

I do not place a high priority at all on whether a person uses their real name or uses a code name, which probably explains why I still use 'KzKiwi'. At the time of me joining the NF the main reason behind my username was to ensure a consistent and easy way of retaining my password, which I had in place on several other projects.

When I first posted there were a lot of code names in use at the time. This has certainly changed in the last few months.

Regardless of which option is used, the threads are consistently good, with informative information always at hand... plus the occasional 'curve ball' thrown in for good measure.

Besides, if I changed I would become a 'junior' again!

Falcadore is an old nick name from some time back. I used it when I first got on the web, back when you were restricted to eight characters as falcador. Even a name as short Mark Jones had once character too many at the time. I've kinda kept it since then. I'm kinda scittzo that way, as I write under both Mark Jones and Mark Alan Jones. When I first started writing there was another Mark Jones in the same area (in Science Fiction commentary) so I used my full name. But depending on who it is since I've been in motor racing some people drop the Alan since it can look like I'm trading off AJ's name.

Have to change my name completely to get away from all of this I suspect.
