I am restoring the Bro Crim OSCA Speciale ( 3 year journey) and have also been collecting the history of this car which was initially constructed in 1949 as a Comirato- Fiat- Gilco named after the driver and builder (Alberto Comirato), the initial engine (Fiat 1100) and Gilco ( the chassis builder). In 1950 the Fiat 1100 engine was removed and Comarito purchased from the Maserati Brothers OSCA 1100 cc engine 1111 and the car was renamed and raced as a Comirato- OSCA- Gilco. Based on an article from an Italian racing club magazine featuring the racing history of Alberto Comirato, recently sent to be by Dan Hedborg, in late 1951 or early 1952 the car was sold to Count Brandolino Brandolini who raced it "somewhat" and then (we assume) sold the car to Crepaldi who had the car rebodied it in 1954 and then sold it to Bro Crim of Ft. Worth Texas. I'd attach some pics but need some assistance on how to do it. Among the pics is one of the rebodied car in Modena Italy taken in 1954 by Gino Barbieri as well as 2 racing pics from Tom Burnside taken at Eagle Mountain AFB in 1955-56 at an SCCA national race. Any confirmation of the ownership and racing history betrween the ownership by Comirato (1951) and Crim (1954) would be greatly appreciated.

Count Brandolino Brandolini d'Adda raced the Comirato-OSCA 1100 in the 1953 Coppa d'Oro delle Dolomiti. The car wore number 48. A photo can be found page 125 of the book Polvere e Gloria by Cancellieri & Agotini.

Brandolino Brandolini d’Adda (1918 – 2005), Conte di Valmareno, in 1947 married a granddaughter of FIAT founder Giovanni Agnelli (1866 – 1945). (Source)
Among the siblings of his wife Cristiana were brothers Gianni (1921 – 2003) and Umberto (1934 – 2004) Agnelli who by marriage became his brothers-in-law.
