Aha, you are not the only one! My father had the same problem.

The book was slightly delayed and on top of that the Veloce publishers are relocating to new premises before Christmas.

I am sure that the book is being distributed now or very soon. The reason Amazon have cancelled some orders because they thought they would get the copies before Christmas. But it wasn't and they decided to cancel some orders people have made.

I assure you that the book is not cancelled, it is just some minor niggles to sort out with the printing, distribution and other things. I am sure the book will be out this month. :)

I would suggest, keep an eye on this page of Veloce's website:

http://www.veloce.co...d...Motorsport

It seems that it is for sale now or very soon.

Bought a copy of 'Superprix' from Chaters at the Autosport Show on Thursday. Havn't read it all yet, but the history of how the event came into being and ended is really interesting. Well done and well worth £15!

I was working in Birmingham in the 80's and remember having to make an excuse to pop out while the 'on the street' events were on. The Superprix was a really great experience for spectators and being able to pop into a local pub between races was special.

It is official, the book is for sale now as I went to the Autosport show today.

To be honest, I wasn't too sure if it would be sold at the show so I thought I would visit the Hortons bookshop stand and I was pleased to see copies of the book at the front!

I looked in Chaters and it was there as well.

DJO, I hope you will enjoy the book and revive your memories of the events there!

finally recieved the book today, waiting on the table after i arrived back from school and it is extremly good, especially the images and the history of all the festivals held before the superprix in the 60's and 70's, the only dissapointment is the lack of full results from the f3000 races and also the support races but is still excellent :D

Hopefully you will have to write an update in the future if the event returns

Congratulations David

Glad you enjoyed it. It was a challenge to find the information to fit it and writing it down into a book! The English language is not my main language as I communicate in BSL (signing) due to my deafness.

I understand about the lack of complete results. It is due to the space in the book available. Although you still can find the F3000 results from the BSP on the Internet. I can recommend the Racing Database website for you. I will take notice of that.

People tend to remember the F3000 (and a little bit of BTCC) more races so that was the focus of the races in the BSP book.

I take it that you ordered it from Amazon? I wasn't expecting them to sell the book this week!
