I would like to know what people honestly think to Schumachers return to F1.
I've heard things about him being to old now and that will take it out of him. 3-4 kg per race weight loss will be hard on an old man like him, but older people are fatter and have greater water retention so maybe it won't be too bad.
Personally i think that the team will be built around him because him coming out of retirement will have attracted a lot of investment because win or lose it’s a bit of a novelty.
Plus when you have the whole team behind you like it was at Ferrari you have a great chance of winning.
I think Schumacher will have to re-establish himself though, he used to be able to get away with all sorts and since he retired there have been a few high profile situations that have caused F1 bad publicity, so he can't do any of the stuff he tried in the past which is good.
When Schumacher retired there was a lot of mixed feelings about his career and if he should be congratulated on his achievements because of the dodgy stuff he did.
I think this new season will be interesting because we all know that hes good and i think it will be interesting to see how he approaches it, will he adopt a new style like a rookie or will he carry on where he left off?

What do you think?

I don't like him, but I like him coming back to F1.
He will do good, but will it be enough? No idea.

I have mixed feelings about Shumacher, I respect his talent but hated his under handed methods almost to the point of giving up following the sport. If he behaves himself then I'm glad to see him and his talents back in F1 but if he doesn't then I hope he gets destroyed and embarrassed into getting out of his 3 year contract and leaves at the end of 2010.

But I hope he hasn't lost his mojo now he's 41 as I'm not that far behind him and I don't need anymore reminding that I'm getting older.

Honestly? Don't expect honesty in a Schumacher thread here.

What I think? I expect him to fail. This is not 1982.

A 10 year forum veteran starting another Michael thread? Did you miss the other half dozen of them? :drunk:

please let this thread die a dishonourable death.

I haven't read any of the others. But you can't go wrong with a schumacher thread.

I remembered when he retired and ITV were showing the highlights of his career and there was so much of him cheating in the clips as well as the good bits. Most people that wee interview and raced against didn't seemt o keen on him in interview so maybe he's going to try and put that right.

You can go wrong with this Schumacher thread. Please use one of the existing threads and continue the discussion there.
