Hi GPL racers! I despareately want to get back into GPL. I raced it long ago when it first came out. Now I want to race again! However, I need A LOT of help as now I run a Mac Book Pro and not a PC. I have a 2.53 ghz CoreDuo with a 9400M NVIDA integrated card. Can I run GPL on this computer? IF yes, HOW?? Do I have to run windows on it? I thought I read somewhere that windows was not needed. Something called WINE or WHINE.
Please help me get back into a Lotus 49!!

You could try CrossOver, it is a more user friendly version of Wine. It is a Commercial product, but there is a 30 day trial so you can see if it works at all before messing with the open source version. Or simply buy it.

CrossOver is in many ways the easiest of the WINE-based virtualisers for Mac OS X. In others you have to install Windows XP first, but in this one you don't; you just let it designate what they call a 'bottle', a dedicated XP mini-environment, into which you then let your DX 9.0c and GPL installers rip. It should run GPL ok (it certainly does rFactor, which is much 'heavier').
In any case, I ran GPL (via Cider) on a Mac as well, so it does work, the 9400M is plenty ok for everything but the heaviest of tracks and full fields of AI.
